Keep your spirits up re the family. You are doing great in other areas of your life that you can control so don't let this problem define you. Well I did achieve some of my weekend list but most of my plans got derailed. Never mind! Still feel as though I could do with just a week at home, alone, to achieve all I want and just get caught up with myself
No buying books didn't go too well this week8 new (to me) books in - though one is for a friend so that won't be staying
and 1 is a motivational type book and another is for studying - i'd best stop trying to justify this now
What else have i been up to? screened out of many a survey, completed a couple. keeping up with spending diary and doing well on this and on no food wastage - which i always aim for but it's good to remember it's important. Although i have some food in i really do not like and will be giving away - need to buy meat to add to the mix so pointless trying to use as its a packet thing and not a meal on it's own - Most things i do cook from scratch
Right tea to cook and the timer has buzzed! i hope all are well and i hope to pop in with a better update soon.
Other confessioni agreed to go out when i can't really afford to
had such a great time with friends that when another friend i've not seen for some months suggested a meet up i agreed - it costs regardless - we don't live near each other, will travel to meet and even with £20 budget for the actual food / drink / adventure i can't justify it right now

Well, my justification for this small spend is that life is for living! If you don't see your friend very often, then you should make the most of it. After all, it may be another x months until you get the chance to meet up again and anything could happen in the interim.
Enjoy the time with friends and loved ones. You can never get it back once it is gone. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Hello all - my head is very busy with information at the moment so will get some of that down here as well as a plan for this evening
Where am I now?
Started typing and then deleted it all. In brief. Family upset is upsetting.
Decision made to find a new job / career. Much easier said than done, been trawling job sites etc. There really is [STRIKE]not a lot[/STRIKE] nothing out there for me to apply for right now.
At this moment I am tired - not sleeping well; hungry and unhappy with a lot of things.
Where do I want to be?
Hunger is nice and easy to resolve when i make and eat tea which i will do soonfood planning is going well and i'd like to maintain and work on this some more.
I want a new job - i'm happy doing several part-time jobs or going full time and i already work different shifts so that's fine too.
Happy will come from a lot of places - our family (mr socks and cats), home, job, money, health, friends
To do
Food
Continue to cook from stores wherever possible run down contents of freezer and cupboards - just too full at the moment - had to have an easy win in there right? :rotfl:
Our family
Play with cats every day
positive conversations / time with Mr socks - new adventures, time just us two,
home
continue to look for new house
declutter and simplify at home so jobs aren't tidying but cleaning and life is easier - remember - things will be moving with us do i really want it all?
Job
Contact uni re. course and see if any bursary available - look forward positively. First step towards change in career is to find what's available
Money
Chase up complaint made - possible £25 owed to me?
Win the lottery
health
make the habit - get out there and run - i see this in my future life so make it happen now
friends

Well that didn't go so far with the specific plans for today - apart from eat :rotfl: Had some enforced rest and now on with washing, pot washing, drying and moving (all done so far); making of lunches for the week and a bit of decluttering - should have been a lot :rotfl:

Going for an early night soon - been out of sorts and full of aches and pains so hoping a good sleep will cure that - still have washing and cooking on the go, so once that's done it sleep time for me.
i am going to commit to no more novels / short stories / poems in English for now until... we move? until all piles have been decimated down to the core of study / reference books? whichever comes first. I need to make living here easier and although a 10p bargain book gives me the boost i need sometimes i need to find another way
Achieved off list - no bursary available for course i want to do - i suspected as much when i quickly looked the other day:(:( I planned to do this course and when i was going to do it there was a bursary available - which made it do-able, in the financial sense. Unfortunately, when i was told i'd be rubbish at the job my low confident self listened and i thought only of all the negatives so i never contacted the uni and never applied for the course.
Lesson here is that I need to have more confidence. My plan to apply for this has now fallen through. No way i can fund it through other means. So the task still remains - what do i want to be when i grow up?1st May 2025

Long time no post. I made the decision last night to post an update today and to accept life isn't all positives all of the time - which would be kinda nice really! - and that if it feels right for me to post some of the difficult times on here then i should. I'm not going to go over all the many many challenges over the last few months but the major things this month have been:
Receiving upsetting news about a close family members health. We aren't a stranger to this sort of news - as many of us aren't - but head is still coming to terms with it.
My work appraisal has been pushed back, which means any chance of a pay rise has also been pushed back. Lots going on at the moment. I was hoping this would be a positive with a chance for a pay rise and extra responsibility. Disappointed.
I have to pay a £1,500 bill which i have disputed but it has to be paidAll extra this month is going towards getting this cleared. I haven't done too many extra income things this month due to the above but really need to focus on this now.
i just wanted to post this as an update. It's just life.
I now need to do some batch cooking as defrosted some meat for this so really need to get on with it. Once things are underway i'll be back with a hopefully, more positive post. I've not been well this past week so things are taking longer than they should.
Hope all are well and i hope to catch up soon1st May 2025
