Thanks for the information. We have seen several "contracts" that have not been signed by directors or any other authorised signatories in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, Section 44, so the comment by the judge that Claire Williams could not have signed the contract on behalf of the owner because she is not a director of the owner is really useful.I married my cousin. The owner, being Sandy Acres Coastal Estate Ltd, wasn't incorporated until March 2017 so clearly any contract signed in 2012 couldn't be in their name.3
