That's good, so in the eyes of the law, you've just admitted to Theft! :T

Try Asda for community type donations. They have a community support budget and programme and are really good at helping out.

All the good stuff the OP is doing and you come out with a crass comment like that.
Suggest you dance the Foxtrot with Oscar.
Dude
Hey! Chill will you, I wasn't having a go, I was just saying, best not to shout it from the tree tops!!! The fact that the OP is giving to a good cause makes it all the better!
Problem is with text you can't get the context! So don't jump to conclusions and lynch me !!!!!!!0 -
Local library delivered some Sure Start colouring books and reading books today (free of charge) for the younger children. They are great.
Thanks for the tip Michellenealemum.
Just over a week to go before the party now and we are all really busy wrapping the presents up. We can't wait - never mind the children!!0 -
I wonder if freecycle might be some use...? I don't really know how it works as I've never used it but I've heard it mentioned on here - find your local one, explain what it's for and ask for donations of new looking toys etc - perfect time to do it as people are clearing space out for Christmas...?0

very good yahoo group people give things free and recive things too, but you need to give before you can receive with most groups, as they are local to each are. worth a look though as also a cafe group (chat) where you can ask for charity things and advertise events etc0 -
awww this thread is lovely
Another idea for pressies - the book people are good for bundles of books for all ages http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category1_10001_10051_10057_100_10006_10006 & you can get some great bargains like 10 for £9.99. If you spend over £35 you also get a free snowman giftwrap set & free postage. There are codes for free postage under £25 here > http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=594532Good Enough Club member 350 -
Hi Nataliejane
Just had a look on your link for the book people. What a fantastic site.
Thankyou.0 -
Only five days to go to the party now. We have wrapped about 500 presents. All the entertainment is in place.
Went to London at the weekend to a specialist book shop as JK Rowling had donated a signed copy of her last Harry Potter book with accompanying letter (this ensures the books value). Sold it for a good price and this has given us a really good start for the fundraising for the 2008 Children's Christmas Party.0 -
Well doine rheme! You must come back and tell us how it went!0
