You made a mistake with the application form but the whole LinkedIn thing is imo a bit over the top.
Maybe but I saw a situation recently where a whole Twitter Storm descended on a company as a result of someone who claimed to be an employee on LinkedIn behaving in an (allegedly) racist and offensive manner in a public place. Given how rapidly these issues can blow up it is perhaps understandable that large high profile organisations take great care over what information is out there.
However I would imagine out of date LinkedIn is not the actual / whole reason for the OP's dismissal. In any case, with less than two year's service, the company does not need a reason to dismiss, not are they obliged to offer one.0 -
Just out of interest, what qualifications do you need these days to study to become a qualified company secretary?0
