So you're probation was extended without you knowing? Well how can you improve if you haven't been told how to and when by to? There's a case right there.

Why ? 'Probabation' has no legal standing and dismissal can take place legally and without reason within first 2 years. In this case the relationship seems to have broken down and as such there doesn't appear to be an alternative outcome that doesn't involve a whole load of grovelling from the OP

They can sack you for whatever reason they want as long as it isnt to do with any protected characteristics.

They can read your emails as its their property, they simply allow you to use it.

Telling someone in admin that you probation is extended is pretty moot. They can simply argue they asked admin to upate your employee file to state that your probation period was extended.

You dont want to be there. They dont want you there. Its probably just easier going.

Youve got such a little chance of doing something that will be of consequence to them.

she told a PA in the business. she was gossiping :-(

If they believe it warrants it, then it warrants it.

They can let you go because they don't like the colour of your socks, let alone abuse of company email. The only thing they can't dismiss you on is a protected characteristic.

Not wanting you there is a perfectly good reason.

Almost certainly. Prove it though and then do something about it. Sorry, but i dont think ti worth it to you to be doing anythign abou tit. You wont get a sorry, you wont get money, you wont get a better reference and you wont get the job back. Youll get a brick wall and a pretty futile legal case if you pursue it. Is that worth it?

But you're still unemployed - I'm struggling to see how as a potential Company Secretary you're not understanding that there's no way back from this ? The relationship has broken down and whether she gossiped or not has no bearing on this. You've no further rights other than the right to move on and take the lessons learnt with you.

Then just be glad youre out.
  • You said yourself - you felt insecure. (always better to be out of that environment whether you give up job or are pushed)

In a couple of days, you'll come to see that what happened was for the best.

Latest place isn't such a happy one, colleagues say I'm to nice, I can only joke how long will I last then.! Workplaces today are just about hanging in there as long as you can.
