Equifax missing nearly all of my current accounts and credit cards

I have been abroad for a couple of years and recently got back so thought i'd check up on my credit reports.

Noddle has all of my accounts, correct address etc.

Equifax... Doesnt seem to know about my Nationwide accounts, tesco accounts, TSB, co-op, current accounts, nor monzo/n26/revolut (but unsure wether they report), also my halifax and aqua cc's are not there. On top of that, the current address is 2 addresses ago, although my previous address is there as a linked address.

Where do I start with this? hard to believe equifax isnt used any more?

Are you looking at the ClearScore version of your report or did you check your online Statutory report with Equifax direct?

I suspect this is not an isolated occurrence. I don't require credit at the moment but I thought I'd see what these organisations have recorded for me. In my instance, I have no credit cards listed with Equifax, Experian or TrustUnion either in online or statutory reports despite having had two for over 30 years. Trust Union even refused to add them when I disputed it!

That's because your accounts are so old they pre-date the regulations of when companies/lenders had to report accounts to the credit reference agencies.

It's not down to the credit reference agency to add the accounts, you would need to write to your lenders and ask them to begin reporting your account history to said credit reference agencies, not the other way round.

Is there a legal obligation to report?

No as there was no consent given at the time.

Now that all may be true, but nowhere do the credit agencies tell you that. Citation please?

I don't have any intention writing to anyone, but it does indicate that the data they rely on to provide their services is at best incomplete and at worst unreliable.

Why do they need to tell anyone?
    It's a known fact.

They can only report data that lenders are permitted to report to them - if you took a product out before these legislations came into play then they are not obliged (actually, allowed) to report them to the the CRA's
