Current account not appearing on credit report...??

My credits reports currently have no normal banking information on them (only credit cards and things bought on finance at the moment)
Is it my bank's responsibility to report my regular banking information to the credit agencies (expeiran, Equifax, etc.) or do the credit agencies seek that information out themselves?
If it is the bank's responsibility, what exactly do they have to do to get the relevant information across to the credit agencies?

The account will only show if you have an overdraft available.
It's also possible the bank only reports to one credit reference agency.0 -
I do have an overdraft facility, and have done since 2011 (student account which is now a graduate account). My contact with the bank makes it seem like they don't know what to do...0

That's wrong! A current account will show regardless if it has an overdraft or not, the only types of bank accounts that will not show are savings accounts isa's etc. Reasons your bank account doesn't show currently could be acc opened before the data protection act was introduced (1998) as lenders didn't have an obligation to share then. (you can contact them and they should get a form for you to sign to say you're happy for them to start sharing it) If you live in a block of flats/apartments or a rural address where it could be recorded at a variation of your address. have a look in your linked address section it will show there if it's being shared and will show as Address A linked to Address B by (bank name) call the CRA they'll be able to confirm if it's being shared at a variation and add it if necessary0 -
Yep current accounts do always show nothing to do with an overdraft. I have 3 "basic" current accounts so no possibility of an overdraft and they all show on my credit reports.0

Not sure any bank is OBLIGED to share the data, other than under principles of reciprocity, but that's between them and the CRA.
Older accounts you will not have given consent for the data to be shared and so it CAN'T be shared.0 -

I have 7 accounts, only 6 are showing on my credit file. The missing one has no overdraft. Although it's not conclusive as both of my TSB accounts show and only one of those has an overdraft.0 -

One of our accounts has been with Lloyds for over forty years, but there's not a sign of it on all three credit reports.
However, I understand that if the account is that old there were no electronic records for it and so it didn't appear (I was told this when I queried it with a bank with whom I was depositing some money and they told me they couldn't find a record of our account.)A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.0 -
Im awaiting my credit files,
Can someone please advise on what it shows on a credit report?
Will my current accounts show up even without an overdraft facility on both accounts?
Does it show what goes into both accounts and what goes out?
Kind regards:mad::mad:0 -
They will only show if the provider reports to the CRAs. If they do, they may not report to all three, so make sure you check.
Credit reports don't show transactions.
