Card Cancellation Service

Hi All,
When I used to live in the US, some of the credit cards offered a service where you would register all your credit, debit, and store credit cards with them. Then, if your wallet is stolen or you misplace it, all you had to do was make one call to this one card provider and they would cancel all your other cards as well and reorder new ones.
If there any such service here in the UK?
Thanks.

Not anymore.
There was CPP. They ended up refunding most customers for selling a fairly useless product.0 -
No, there is not.
You need to contact each institution directly0 -
Thanks. In the US they had some relatively pointless paid services as well like these. However, a lot of the credit cards offered the same service to Gold and Platinum card holders for free.
Can be a big pain to call individual providers in such a dire times.0 -
I thought such a scheme existed. Something like Sentinel Gold perhaps? If your cards are lost or stolen, just one call to us and we'll arrange for them to be cancelled and replacements ordered on your behalf.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
Yep just checked it. They hire 40/year pretty well. :-) But sounds like a good service with plenty of benefits. Need to check if they are certified etc with someone for information etc.0

That's the website. It used to be bundled with accounts / sold as an add on a few years ago. I seem to remember it was on one of my packaged accounts.

£39.95 per year. There's a few other benefits, but the benefit vs cost is questionable IMO.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0 -
Many apps let you block a card temporarily (in case you find it again), or even mark it as lost or stolen. Just don't lose your phone as well as your wallet!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. At one time all credit cards used to try and sell you CPP or Sentinel, but they haven't done so for years now.0
