Yay, so just before Christmas and you WON!

Well done for taking all the advice on board and beating the scammers.

  • Thanks Coupon-mad - it's just such a relief - I'm glad we stuck with it, on principle these scammers need to be holted in their tracks and stopped from intimidating people.

    Keep up the great work.

Great news Upstanding and well done for seeing this off.

I thought that you would have been very unlucky to lose if this had gone as far as court. VCS were really trying it on and must have had the sense to discontinue. I just hope that Keep Calm's case is discontinued.

Have you ever read some of the comments on Tripadvisor about this car park from visitors to the Travelodge? They have a system whereby a permit is issued for between the hours of 18.00 to 8.00 (6pm until 8am). Outside of those hours they have to pay the going rate. At 8.00 am promptly an employee of Excel checks the cars to see who has not got a valid ticket. So no lie in or leisurely breakfast they have to get out there and get a ticket. Many have fallen foul and the Travelodge, (who are receiving £20K per year from Excel) don't want to know. What a way to treat customers.
