VCS parking in restricted area & claim from from CCBC

Deep in the throws of writing up WS - as the car park concerned has changed somewhat since the 'offence' with VCS signage now long gone etc and double yellow lines implemented - I find i'm mixing past and present tense and because it's a "historical claim' I'm trying to stick with how it was providing evidence of photos from the time, is it necessary/essential to also include current uptodate changes showing evidence of VCS signage to have now been removed - its making it all very long winded and that's before I have even cross referenced to other similar cases?0

A witness statement is a narrative, your story of what happened on the day, therefore in the past. It is also the story of what has happened since, also in the past. If it is still on-going then you can use the present (or continuous present - but that might be confusing). Just make sure that the timeline works and is a continuous line without dodging about from here to there and back again.
You can use Google street view to find some views from the past and then some from today and that might help your case. Your evidence needs to be supporting what you have said and is in a separate numbered section cross-referred for example by saying "the signs in the car park were too small to be seen see exhibit ME_001 on page N."0 -
Hi guys had posted up draft w/s earlier this morning or so I thought and then for some reason I got blocked from accessing the forum until now - Help desk email suggested it may have been because I copied my post from word and posted it on here - has anyone else experienced this problem - not sure how else to post??0

Lots of people.
It's the formatting characters that makes the forum software think it's a spammer posting.
Copying directly from MSWord etc to this forum is likely to lead to your IP address being banned. Copy via notepad to avoid this.

TextEditor is the Mac version of Windows NotePad.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Notepad is a Microsoft product.
I have no idea what the equivalent Mac product might be.
Try google for an answer - we seem to be getting away from parking.0 -
Thanks Umkomaas had come across TextEditor and it wasn't co-operating initially. Going to try a short extract and paste here to see if it will work. I have redacted identifying info from it.
Draft Witness Statement – 9th June 2015 for forum
I am the Defendant in this matter. Attached to this statement is a paginated bundle of documents, contents of which are numbered from 1 – 20.
The Claimant, VCS asserts that I entered into a contract with them, that I breached the contract and must pay a contractual charge, with further undefined and unexplained disproportionate additional charges. The PCN issued claims that the vehicle was parked in a restricted area of a car park, namely at xxxxx Street, xxx on 9th June 2015.0 -
ok so that short snippet has worked!. I am concerned that WS does seem to be extremely longwinded so will probably need condensing along the way, I have a query as to whether i could actually include what a 3rd party has said to us in the W/S in relation to inefficiency of VCS or would that be inappropriate - I had highlighted it in red - would be grateful for any input and advice - thanks
Actually tried putting all of statement in and appears to be problem with posting - I'm at a total standstill now0 -
There is a limit to the actual size of a post.
Perhaps try splitting it over two or more posts.0
