I think that with your first case ( which you also got costs) together with the second case over two sessions (last session for two hours) this will have proved very expensive for VCS. The barrister in my case told me that his fee was £250.00 plus vat. That was for two hours.

In your case they were told to produce information which they didn't. You would have thought that they would have had the sense to back off.

I just hope that some of the pending cases such as Claire, Spencerdog and the case that is booked in for three hours at Dudley all win their cases against Excel/VCS. The three hour case at Dudley will cost them about £400 plus vat in representatives fees and this is the second hearing.

And most, (at least 90%), of the VAT is irrecoverable by VCS.
  • The Dudley three hour case is this week so keep everything crossed that this is another loss for VCS/Excel.

  • A wonderful bed time story this one. Well done!

    I WON! Case struck out.

£511.60 in costs awarded for unreasonable behaviour by VCS.

    Court: Derby
    Judge: DJ Stringer

Have I won the prize for the biggest costs awarded to date then?!?
A close second, as I think sassii got a 4 figure sum a year or two ago.

    WELL DONE!

Loved the fact this was the 2nd unreasonable costs order against a parking firm this week in her court! I really wish more people would challenge unfair private parking charges; as long as court letters are not ignored, there is no risk and every chance of winning - 99% success rate on this forum in court, since 2017.

    :T
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
