VCS Small Claims Court - Parking in a 'restricted' area

I am no expert but it does sound like unreasonable behaviour. Chasing you through the courts and not being able to back up the evidence. I think that they might discontinue.
I wonder if your judge has allocated two hours for your next hearing. That's another £250 plus VAT.
They had a separate lease for the bit they claimed I'd parked in. It was the bit that's now been demolished and is now lidl's car park. I parked in the space that still exists on the corner of Miller's lane.
I'm pretty annoyed it got to this stage before I realised what they'd done. However, it would have been impossible for me to prove that I wasn't in 'their' space as I can't get hold of the land registry details for 3 years ago. I'm so glad they've shot themselves in the foot with their WS.
I don't think they'll discontinue. They've paid the court fee (I phoned the court and checked) and I don't expect anyone will read my WS prior to the hearing.
Yes - got another 2 hours scheduled in. I am going to push for unreasonable behaviour as this has genuinely cost me money - I'm self employed and every hour out of work hits my wages!0 -
You may be able to ask the council if VCS were paying business rates in that year. I could not find that Excel were paying business rates on the Excel car park. They were not listed online and the council had no record. It is possible that the business rates were paid by the head leaseholder but that is unusual.

to be honest I'm going to sit back and wait now. They've completely stuffed themselves and I'm not wasting any more of my time mopping up after their incompetence! It's mind boggling that they can abuse the court process in this way.0

I agree. Don't let them ruin your Christmas.

Hearing today - short version:
I WON! Case struck out.
£511.60 in costs awarded for unreasonable behaviour by VCS.
Court: Derby
Judge: DJ Stringer
VCS rep: Mr Bate (I think)
Full story to follow when I've got 5 mins.
Thank you to all that have helped and encouraged me!0 -

Brilliant Keep Calm, I knew that you would win but what a nice bonus. It will have cost them quite a bit in costs for representatives.

Just realised that two hours had been allocated as well. Staffordshire ladies are proving very expensive for SRS. I hope that you treat yourself to something nice with his money.
