County court letter - help please

Can anyone help me - I have to complete an AOS (issue date 21/6/19)
I am not sure how to fill it out and what information I must legally put on it? I was not the driver and I am not the owner. My Dad is the owner and he sent a letter to Parking Eye saying it was me as he lent me the car that day. I have tried to inform them it was not me but left it late - thinking that these charges were not enforceable. Now I have this County Court claim form from Northampton and should I just put that I am intending to defend all of the claim or is it that I intend to contest jurisdication? I dont even know what that means!
I am totally stressed by all this and had no idea that it would go this far. It was one of those pub car parks where you have to put your reg into the machine in the bar but nobody told him and he didnt see the signage.
Please help. Very very stressed out

read the NEWBIES sticky thread post #2 , third thread from the top
read the BARGEPOLE advice posted a few years ago telling you what to do
plus there is a pictorial walkthrough as well, so easy peasy lemon squeezy
yes these charges are enforceable, google the name BARRY BEAVIS to see why0 -
With a Claim Issue Date of 21st June, you have until Wednesday 10th July to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.
Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 24th July 2019 to file your Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
0 - Sign it and date it.

So - after reading this on sticky threads #2 - i have to complete the AOS on line and not return the form from the Northampton County Court ? Or should I do both?0
-
do the AOS online
nothing will be returned to Northampton by post
the defence will be emailed as a pdf attachment , when ready
the DQ will also be emailed later in the process
do not put anything whatsoever in the online defence box
follow the guide in the NEWBIES thread , post #20 -
Correct, complete the AoS on-line and do not return the form to Northampton CCBC.0

Unfortunately I didn't spell out all the things you don't need to do - just the things you do need to do.0 -
can anyone advise me on the best way to formulate my defence? shall i cherry pick from others on here? its all very legal jargon - most of which i dnt understand !!0
-
Yes, you either find a close match and adapt it, or you start with the concise defence by bargepole and expand on it
This is a legal case so there will be plenty of legal jargon0 -
Defending a claim is covered in the newbies FAQ thread
See #2 there
There are links there to near templates for you to crib from
Post your draft up here for comments before sending it0 -
We have heard nothing from you for over two weeks.
There are many example Defences linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.
Post up your draft Defence for critique when you are ready.0
