Sea_Shell said:SUCCESS!!! (on the SP front anyway)
Just logged in, and my new SP amount is showing, following my payment. I'm up to £168.10 a week.
I'll re-assess making up the further shortfall nearer the time, but at least that's the cheap part years paid for.
I didn't ring them in the end, just waited a few more days. I made the payment on 2nd December 2022.0 -

It should be any day now, fingers crossed. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2 -
That is good you are boosting your SP. I just checked my forecast and it says the estimate up to 5/4/22 based on NI contribution is £174.37 per week and the maximum is £185.15 per week at my SPA in 2026. I have 3 missing years due to early retirement and 3 years to make it up. I do childcare for my grandchildren though and having focused on her MILs NI contributions as she has now reached SP age I will be applying for the next 2 years childcare credits from my DD which should get me up to maximum too. It would cost me around £800 for each missing year otherwise.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
