Mine is actually quite fit, regularly uses the turbo trainer, etc. It's more the confidence of being out on the roads or on rocky ground.0

I was tempted to say something like that myself...0

Busy few days this week...
Swimming this morning (postponed from yesterday as DH was getting his 2nd jab)
I'm getting my 2nd jab this afternoon
Tomorrow our local Gas engineer is coming to discuss new boiler options (it's not broken, but is the original and is about 30 yrs old, albeit it's been serviced every year no problems)
Saturday, I'm at the hairdressersHow's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -
Had my 2nd AZ jab yesterday morning: zero issues, which is good!
Boiler? Those old ones might be inefficient, but they can keep on going: good luck!Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!0 -

We're just getting quotes at this stage. We plan to stay here for a good few years yet, and although there is nothing actually wrong with the current boiler (and we've not noticed a drop off in performance) it is bound to go kaput one day in the middle of winter, when engineers are at their busiest!
It's been on our "to-do" list since we moved in....20 years ago!!!I bet the new one won't last 30 years!!!!
DH has no bad effects of his second AZ jab, other than a dry tickly throat. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -

Interesting, had 2nd as jab 3 weeks ago had headache and shivers for 36 hrs.
We are also getting a new boiler as current one is 23 years old. Not sure what a decent price would be, 2500?It's just my opinion and not advice.0 -
Best thing about not working for me is that I don't have a routine. If I want to stay in bed reading until afternoon I can. If I want to get up early(ish) I can. I usually go for a walk some time during the day (and am now doing 2,000+ steps a day). If I choose to eat out I can - usually mid afternoon to get a table.
