I disagree.  Part of a vacation to me is eating out.  I wouldnt want extra nights on vacation but to eat in 3 meals a day in.  One meal out a day for me is enough, not 3.  But we tend to choose lunch out as is cheaper than dinner. plus you cant drink a bottle of wine if you are driving.

Well, having done the month end figures this morning, everything it pretty flat, compared to last month.

The mid month rally didn't hold, and has fallen back to where it was.

My pension pots are almost exactly the same as they were in April 2021, so 16 months. Smaller S&S ISA's are still around 5% down over the same period.

Yes, it was looking good mid month, but now slightly down overall on the month for my portfolio. Looks like markets are falling further today.

When I go on holiday for nearly 4 weeks at christmas  I usually eat 2 meals a day... a lunch or a breakfast then an evening meal.  I'm quite contented to have a drink and a salad on the balcony, watch the sun go down ... especially if I CBA to get ready to go 'out'.

When I go on holiday for nearly 4 weeks at christmas  I usually eat 2 meals a day... a lunch or a breakfast then an evening meal.  I'm quite contented to have a drink and a salad on the balcony, watch the sun go down ... especially if I CBA to get ready to go 'out'.

When we go away we usually have breakfast at the hotel, lunch out somewhere with a few beers and then later find somewhere for dinner with a bottle of wine.
