There is nothing worse than finding a missing jigsaw piece. Fortunately, for me the last one I did which had a piece missing I only realised right at the end, but I guess I was lucky. Some folks probably can tell from about 100 pieces in.

I guess if you know it is something that would trigger you at the end there is always the option to count the pieces at the start.

I assume you're joking?!    Anyway that doesn't help as many puzzles aren't exactly 500, 1000 or 1500 piece.

Haha, the problems of the retired. Reminds me of my oh complaining to me this week on a beautiful, crisp sunny morning that as the sun is low,  and there are a lot of leaves on the golf course he gets very frustrated when he can’t find his golf ball….. Meanwhile I am stuck at my desk all day. 

No criticism intended,  I know missing jigsaw pieces are frustrating, and probably missing golf balls……..

I was muttering to myself only the other morning about the sun being low on my run.   Head in the sun, feet in the shade...can't see where I'm putting my feet!!     But still, worse problems to have!      As I run back past the queue of commuter traffic waiting at the lights.

We also went for a lovely walk around a local reservoir, on one such crisp morning.   Taking a break on a bench and just watching the sun glinting off the water.

It really is the simple things that matter.

LOL That made me laugh.  Next time I have a moan I will think to myself "first world problems."

Well my 2 jigsaws each with a piece missing have been snapped up after I advertised them for free.   So hopefully they can still remain in use for a bit longer.

Good Morning everyone!!

One is now an over 50!!! 

How did that happen.  

Anyway, I kept it on the down low.  No big party or do.   Some lovely cards, flowers and other gifts, including an obligatory mug.

Unfortunately the pub we went to for a meal (food was lovely in the summer - that's why we went back), wasn't very nice, and quite disappointing.     We'd have been better getting a "Dine-in with M&S" meal, and a bottle of wine TBH.

Anyway, being early retired is the best gift you can give yourself!!     Why celebrate on any given day, just because the calendar tells you too...everyday is a celebration!!

Roll on the next 50!!!
