Confused - flight cancellation compensation

Hi all
Newbie here - I have tried to read and understand the Easyjet Flight Delay compensation guide and started to fill in the separate Easyjet Compensation Claim on the MSE site.
I get as far as filling in the five steps and then it says "Submit Your Claim". However, if I do so, is this just the start of the process?
Basically my scenario is as follows?
We arrived at Geneva Airport at 07:30 on 28th June 2019 to find that Easyjet had cancelled our flight at 06:10 the same morning. They wanted us to stay in Geneva until Sunday as they had no spare capacity but that was unacceptable. A supervisor said that Easyjet would fully compensate us if we bought tickets with another carrier that day (although I don`t actually have that in writing). We managed to buy tickets with Lufthansa back to Edinburgh with a stop-off in Frankfurt. I have copies of the transactions totalling a little over 1500 Euros. As we were not due to land until 18:10 Geneva time, we bought lunch within the airport and I have those receipts.
At no point on the Claim form could I see where to put in these totals. I`m just worried that if I press the "Submit Claim" that I will only get compensation for the cancellation and not get reimbursed for purchasing the Lufthansa tickets.
All help greatly appreciated!

Hi Steve,
Please copy and paste you post onto the dedicated Easyjet thread here...
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4384709/flight-delay-and-cancellation-compensation-easyjet-only
where you will get some help.
At the same time please clarify if you are using Resolver to claim, or direct from Easyjet via their website.
Thanks. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
I actually think this is not a compensation issue, but giving them details of how to make a payment that they promised. Do you have the supervisor's name? (In any case they will have a record of who was on duty at a specific time.)0

Hi,
I think I managed to work it out myself. You need one form for cancellation compensation and a different one to claim back expenses - I`ll get cracking on it and let you know the outcome0 -
I got stranded somewhere due weather for 4 days with easyjet a year or so ago whilst I didn't need to claim for 3rd party flights they paid up for 3 night hotel an food (moderate establishments and costs) without any hassle, using their expenses form.
Others mileage may have varied.0
