Hi, I booked a car via Doyouspain last week, after returning the car Interrent sent me a final bill and charged me 64.40€ for kms extras. My contract says unlimited km, I have tried to contact them but I haven’t received any help, after waiting 30 minutes they gave me the website where I can make a claim but I don’t have my client code so I am not able to make the complaint, they told me I have to contact Doyouspain ( waiting answer). Also Interrent haven’t given me the fuel deposit back, I don’t know if I can claim these charges to my insurance. Any ideas?

Not insurance. Section 75 claim to your credit card provider, against Interrent.
But give them and DoYouSpain time to respond.0 -

Thanks, do you mean both charges? I’m waiting for Doyouspain, I cannot claim to Interrent without the client number.
Yes, both. but you'll need to get your supporting documents together, so as to show that you are actually due the fuel deposit return and how much exactly. Similarly to show that you had unlimited kms.
But exhaust all options with DoYouSpain and InterRent in the first instance.
Why didn't you just get on the phone to DoYouSpain, in order to get the 'Client Code' instantly?0 -

DoYouSpain cannot claim for the fuel, as only you have the documents showing that you filled the tank prior to returning the car. Petrol station receipt/picture etc
So if you send pictures of those to InterRent within your claim and they don't respond, you can use Section 75 to get a refund. InterRent will have to supply proof to them that you returned the car empty if they want to dispute the refund the CC will make to you.0 -

I think I don’t have a receipt, I filled the tank twice (cheapest petrol station and nearest station) but I can show my cc statement
Did they sign off on the car on your return, confirming that the fuel was as it should be?
I never leave the location without a final invoice. No excuses. No nonsense accepted to do with there not being someone to check the car.0 -
