false car insurance claim made against me

Could it possibly be door on door damage??? As your dash cam footage wouldn't show anyone alighting from your vehicle.
I don't think so, my passenger side car door or wind mirror doesn't have paint or any minor scratch at all. And the dashcam footage can also show my car 's position is inline with the front moving car relative to any parked car. I will certainly call my insurer to clarify what was the claim.0 -
It doesn't sound like a fruitful proposition for a scammer, the time it takes and the gain (I'm no scammer but it doesn't seem lucrative.)
The 3rd party would have a claim incident recorded on their file.
They may receive no cash just a dink repair, so sorry I don't see the scam.
I meant, false claimer, it is more like an opportunistic fraud, your car was damaged somewhere you just want to find some easy target to pay for the bill.0 -

Still not fruitful, what was the 3rd party's car make model?
If they are already living with pre existing damage they can live a little longer with it as opposed to must get fixed.
Some untidy repairs (cheap insurance repair) can look worse than the damage it is rectifying eg a stone chip , door painted and differs in shade from the other panels, or another car may have a damaged rear bumper, they 'let' someone run into the back of the car, the loss assessor puts the car beyond economical repair, offers the usual less than market value, the owner would then still have to fork out more on top for a replacement vehicle.
So no I don't see a scam.0 -

I don't know what was the make of the car of the alleged claimer, in the call I made on the day the guy talking sounds a very serious damage and he mentioned sth that will cause more than 500 quid to fix.
If it is not insurance fraud as you said, or it is just a cheap fix,i don't see why he wants to go to all the way to insurance claim for the third party.0 -

You don't have to see why though, only he would, of which he is entitled to do so, well is insurers seem to be exploring the accusation.0 -
