I think the NEW system is flawed because it introduces means testing, so it won't be long until under 75's on low income start demanding free tv licences.

the problem is everything that's already been given and accepted by people of all ages are being eroded and it's making people angry e.g.

Free tv licence imagine being 97 and chased through the courts for no tv licence. the tv chasers are brutal. also the way they will check eligibility is not how much money oap's have but if they receive pension credit and many are totally unaware of it.

"The problem is that while there are approximately 1.6million pension credit claimants currently, Mirror Money has found that for every three claimants, there are two people who qualify and don't ask for the money.

That means more than a million people over 65 are missing out."

Also women's pensions being upped from 60 agreed maybe 40 years ago when people started work and now with little notice being put up to 65. then a few months later putting it up to 67 due to country having no cash. Being argued in court at the moment by women having to work an extra 7 years and paying extra 7 and getting 7 years less in return. So unfair.

Free bus pass will go next.

it's fuelling great anger in this country as people who have worked 40 years many in hard jobs see millions of foreigners getting free houses/pensions/benefits when small things like tv licences are being taken away from those who worked all their lives. That's why Farage is on the up.


Also BBC pays millions in salaries which is totally unnecessary and millions on taxis for stars surely if you earn a million you can get your own taxi?

Plus the tv chasers are totally immoral, they knocked at my door at 8am demanding entry I was scared stiff as I had no idea who they were and I have not watched TV for years.

yes elderly relative 85 just got a tv and needs a connector only to find it's not going to be free for long!!

So I help with purchase and you help with the connector and now he saves up for the license!!

Always the way! Fort me it's Netflix all the way!!
