Thanks foxgloves... I think I'll need to go with the bread maker option..

BTW, I think 'I don't know' is an acceptable answer... I bought a house once and the son was selling it and that was his reply for everything on the documents I got:)0 -
Morning all

Grrr, wrote a long edit on my yesterday's post and my internet went down, or at least it did on my laptop, which is on its last legs. I think I will arrange to take it to a local guy / small business I have used before to get his opinion on it / see whether it can be resurrected. Not yet
Anyway, today:
Wash hair and leave to dry on its own - I have found that if I clip it back with a barette clip (99p for 2) while still damp, it stops it becoming curly and annoying without spending £60 odd on the machine my hairdresser recommended for the purpose
It also makes it sit nicely until it is time for it to be washed again. Done
No rain forecast till later today, so I will walk into town to pay in a cheque. May take a few small items for my sales unit as I am going into town anyway
Done, took half a shopping trolley full and managed to fit it all in, so there must have been some sales!
Passed local butcher's shop, and his special offer today was 2kg of locally produced extra lean mince for £10. This is loads cheaper than the supermarkets (the ones here, anyway) so I bought a pack. Divided into 4 when I got home, 3 lots in freezer, one left out to use.
Unearth rest of new potatoes from a big pot at the bottom of the garden. OH dug a root in the raised bed last night, but I think these others need to come out or the slugs will get them. One thing is certain, we will be ok for potatoes for a couple of months! Done, enough for at least another meal
Triage fridge and see if there is anything that needs using / freezing imminently. Ended up doing a cook-up as there was definitely stuff that needed using! Used some ageing cheese and ham that went OOD yesterday, along with Icyland broccoli from the freezer to make a big pasta bake. Also finished up carrots and peppers from fridge, tomatoes that were getting past it (I roasted these first) and added to mince from butcher, some frozen mushrooms, some garlic scapes and various other bits to make a chilli
Fridge looks much better now -annoyingly I had to throw 2 carrots that had gone slimy into the compost
All food will be from home Done
Sort out at least one cupboard or drawer. I did a few yesterday and managed to get rid of some carp :T The night is young!
Well, I haven't turned out any cupboards, but a lull in the weather enabled me to sort out my mini-greenhouse, which was housing 4 enormous tomato plants which were growing through the roof  They are now out on either side of the structure, tied to their canes. I have put the shelves back in, and replaced the tomatoes with half drowned lettuce seedlings and the basil plants from the conservatory. Raining again now, and OH has gone to bed early as he thinks he is getting another cold
Foxgloves the remains of my emergency / brexit / bad weather / illness stash is now in one big plastic box in the spare bedroom. I have gradually been incorporating it into the larder / other places (it contained cleaning stuff and toiletries as well as groceries) / using it since the end of March, but there is still one full big box up there. I haven't done much shopping in recent months, and stashing now just consists of buying two or three of an item that I need and is on offer, instead of just one. Plan now is just to keep the larder / bathroom / kitchen cupboards very well stocked, as opposed to having additional supplies upstairs.0 -

Morning all,
KatyAnn, my two used to love days at home when the weather was bad, they still remember building dens out of blankets and chairs, having a picnic lunch in there. Playing hide and seek around the house (ds2 always hid in exactly the same spot though! Then cartoons and cuddles later
Happy memories
Today's list is
ds1 usual ys bread for toast with his scrambled eggs :heart2:
ds2 usual free school breakfast club :heart2:
gym session done, refilled water bottle and spoke to the manager to ask if they'd waive the joining fee for us if dh joins , they will
:heart2:
continue using food from yesterdays freezer door incident!
make a fish pie will do this tomorrow instead as have other food to use first after checking fridges
pop out to aldee as I need packed lunch things before I can make tomorrows lunches another thing for tomorrow as I can make do with some bread out of the freezer and will make a quick batch of flapjack from stores to go in their lunch boxes too instead of the usual piece of fruit (will buy fruit in the day tomorrow so they'll still have fruit but after school instead! )
add an extra layer if the weather stays this cool, I'm NOT putting the heating on in June!
check fridge to make sure nothing is going to waste whilst I'm using up the freezer bits! :heart2:
check banking/update spreadsheet and renew a fixed rate saver thats maturing :heart2:

A bit late to the party this week! I made myself a 'to-do' list at the weekend and I have crossed all but one items off so that is good going.
* returned amazon book yesterday so need to wait for refund
* ordered gift for hubby but used cashback site
* unexpected bill for daughters dance exams and although my mum says she will pay, I will contribute too so digging out some fabric and other craft items to sell to go towards it
* LSD - a couple of bits from Mr Aldeeee for my tea and hubby's healthy eating plan
* exercise at home later if I get the time
* sort out invoice for DD's dance classes
* check bank and update SS
* packed lunches all from stores today
* sweet ban in our house so saved money not buying them
* kids to dentist later and trip to PO combined to save parking
Have a great day - soggy here in Derbyshire
