    Evening All,

Hope everyone is taking care of themselves, not really much MSE wise going off just trickling along nicely.

Budget looking good to end of the month, strangely YNAB shows that I currently have enough to cover the priority bills for end of May (with exception of rent) so that is something new to me. I think I am going to use what I have extra once we get near month end to overpay some debt payment. I think I will probably just fall shy of getting everything cleared by December but we can hope..right!

Although not posted much I have been following diaries in the background. I need to try update more, but do not like updating when nothing happening haha, plus not really had much going off other than work and sleep these permanent nights are destroying my body clock! The discussions have started for me to revert back to my normal shift rotation which I am unsure about if I am being honest, but I so need to get back into my proper shifts and get back some normality

I hope everyone is keeping safe 😊

    Hey All,

    Hope everyone is okay 😊

Not too much to report MSE wise, everything ticking over, I am desperate to try find extra money to overpay, I have paid over £300 towards my debt this month so that is not bad at all to say this time last year I was paying zero. Its crazy looking back to see how far I have come, but still need to work on ensuring I start putting money into savings more

Today as been spent recovering from my night shift and boy what a crap shift it was nothing seemed to work so had plenty of work to do but technology was certainly not on my side haha. I then watched a film with the little one.

Work now done for a whole 12 days woooooooooo! Think I am going to take an holiday to my garage just for a change of scenery. Once I go back to work it has been decided that I am going to go back to proper days/nights. This is partly because I want some normality, and partly due to wanting to help the girl that is assisting me with doing this shift pattern get back to some normality.

My 12 days off are probably going to consist of some decluttering and trying to not fritter away money.  I seem to be in a good routine now.

Hope everyone has a good week and stay safe

    Morning All,

    Hope you are all well.

Yesterday was a nice chilled day 😊 with some lovely weather. I went a decent walk with the little one and then spent the afternoon in the back garden soaking up the sun, it was nice to just chill after the last few weeks seeming non-stop work, shopping or sleeping. The skip should be here over the course of next few days though so pretty sure that will be the end of the relaxing hahaha but it needs sorting only been putting it off since last year! Another thing to sort is tyres, the back two are ready for replacing but before lockdown I bough new wheels coz the ones I have are just crap so I now need to arrange for a mobile fitter to come take of the current wheels and fit the smaller wheels and new tyres, I will probably take advantage of the interest free over 3 months they offer but undecided yet but that should hopefully save me in the long run as I won’t be running crappy low profile tyres

Not much planned for today, seems a little cooler today but I plan to take exercise bike out into garden and do a little work on that rather than usual run, I am little tender from the massive walk…ugh need my fitness back

Hope you all have an amazing weekend

    Hey All,

What a lovely few day of glorious weather! I have enjoyed been out walking, areas are now starting to get busier, luckily I was able to enjoy the sun in one of local parks safely. It was good to get the little one out and about a bit more too. We have also done a few walks which were enjoyable and not normally something we have done for a long time

Budget is looking good coming up to payday and again happy to have more money than month 😊 This is now becoming regular, I have enough left that will allow me to  pay off DT3 before even touching my wage, so I will use what I would usually have paid to that from May payday onto DT4 so that should put me pretty close to having that cleared. If I could have that cleared by June payday, I will be very happy. I need to try get some contact information and payment details for the other debts to enable me to start paying them, still undecided on what to do next though in terms of paying what debt when so this is something I need to consider. All my pots are being topped up so that is progressing well, although I have to get wheels sorted at some point probably next week, I did want them done before going back to work on Saturday but skip arriving is delayed so that put end to that plan.

Food and petrol spends seem to be under control, although the 12 days off has helped with the petrol budget.

Other areas of budget are also low which is mainly due to the current situation but the plus side of that is it has given me extra to pay to debt, if has planned I pay the money I have left to DT3 I will have paid over £500 off the debt in May alone which is crazy – I hate this is going to debt and not a future home

    Hope everyone is keeping safe

good work Dan - yes hate the debt, but it has got to be done - you have to break even before you can accumulate, but when you do your good habits will leave you stronger and you'll be on here posting about your savings!!

    Evening Diary

Wow another pleasant day today 😊 went out for a little walk earlier but not too far as it was a little bit hot for the little one so just a steady walk and then another afternoon in garden which has been a regular thing this week, I have really enjoyed relaxing after yesterday finally getting through most of the garage clearance I can actually see the floor. It is a good space in there so could be used properly once cleared.

My final day off tomorrow before heading back to work but only got a month before some more time booked off in July, the benefit of 4 on 4 off really does make this time fly by.

In debt news I am finally below 3k :O this has been a real struggle at times but I am defo on the right track and progress is now feeling like its been made. This has been just short of a year hard work to change my whole outlook and whilst I wish I had no debt I am learning how to balance budgeting with still having some fun along the way. Still plenty of work left to do though. The monthly direct debits for the payments have come out and I will update signature shortly.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week

I have also checked my credit report which i keep an eye on - the score not so much but to see debts coming off there and the balance going down is such a motivation
