Thanks DITR,  I am leaning towards that way of thinking, the plan was to fund EF asap to my initial target then adjust the amounts to then allow pots to build up. I do have a little movement in there as i have budgeted to save a little more than i think i would need to cover the expenses.
  • I second what DITR said, EF then build up your pots x

I do think this is the sensible option, I will hopefully have this built up to my desired starter amount by end of next month, then I can focus in other areas. Everything seems to just be going well budget wise so I have pretty much every expense nailed, food is a little higher but given where I am saving everywhere else in my budget I can live with that. x
  • Hi Dan!

    Hey,
Thank you, that must have taken some reading haha!, glad you found it useful if my journey can inspire one person then that can only be a positive I started my own diary due to being inspired by the many in here and i find it useful to be able to come here and get advice, and waffle to my diary haha.  I can not wait to be DF, i have a while yet but to me this journey started out as wanting to get DF as soon as possible, but its become so much more. I have learnt so much about money management, self control and myself, welcome along for the ride! I have my moments haha.

I have read the start of your journey and will follow closely you have started out so well x

    Morning All,

Just a quick check in to keep myself active and honest. DT2 & DT3  i have been focusing on have now had monthly installment paid, make an overpayment through month we shall see

DT3 - I have paid another £100 to this so the balance now stands at £200 - This should be paid off hopefully on 28th May if not then deffo by end of June

DT4 - I have paid £169 to this also so this one is highest so is my main focus, balance on this is now £400, target for this to be paid of is also June.

I need to look at where my next goals are, I have one that is a awful £1044 :( - If i could aim to clear this off next then this would put me well on the way to being debt free. The remaining three debts I would have after clearing that just about is more than that one debt! Oh i had not really tracked my actually balance for a while but i am well under 4k remaining and closer to 3k now :)

1 more night shift to go tonight and i will probably pop on then to catch up properly. Take care all
