It seems they have added an extra £60 to each invoice making them £160 each which is breaking the PoFA 2012.
Should I mention this to them now, or wait and add a section about abuse of process in my witness statement?
WOW, SCSLaw really are in scammers mode ???
You now know from the thread above that .....
"The claim contains a substantial charge additional to the parking charge which it is alleged the defendant contracted to pay, This additional charge is not recoverable under the protection of freedoms act 2012, Schedule 4"
Not only that, they are attempting to circumvent the Small Claims costs rules using double recovery
All this would be in your defence but in the meantime, no harm in asking them to account for the £60 add-on
Let's see what they say. In the meantime is it possible for you to take pictures of the UKPC signs0 -

they know this is an abuse of process, and to your MP.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Thank you! I’ll add this to my defence when the time comes.
I’m on mobile so unfortunately don’t have the images saved, but an image of the “signage” can be seen here on my POPLA appeal, a few pages down:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sBtfWJfyJr1dsuBfcP6U8b6cTtFrzSXw/view
The print is very small and mentions an additional £60 debt collection charge being applicable to the original £100 invoice.
In the meantime I will write to them again, this time asking them for a breakdown on the additional £60 charge.

The sign is blurry. Not only is small print not acceptable but regardless, UKPC operate under POFA2012 which clearly states ..
"The claim contains a substantial charge additional to the parking charge which it is alleged the defendant contracted to pay, This additional charge is not recoverable under the protection of freedoms act 2012, Schedule 4"0 -
I’ve just received an email from POPLA stating that UKPC told them they do not wish to contest my appeal, so it has been found in my favor!

So from a total of 9 invoices, I’m now down to 7. Hopefully my POPLA appeal decision will weigh in my favor with a judge further down the line.
Thanks for all of your help so far guys, it’s much appreciated.0 -
            Hey everyone, long time!
I thought UKPC had given up after I won the POPLA appeal, but it seems they are going ahead with the other parking charge notices... I've just received my letter before claim today.
Anyways, I was wondering if I could recycle my POPLA appeal and use it as my defence? Or whether something else needs to be added/removed from it. Please see my winning POPLA appeal below:

Also, I'm aware that my next letter will likely be from the county court. What will I be asked to do? I want to prepare well in advance so as to avoid missing any potential deadlines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!0 -
I doubt that a popla appeal should be used as a defence and I would not use one
see post #2 of the NEWBIES thread about court claims , defences and witness statements , its all covered in there
for prep work, but the title of a hit song by QUEEN into the forum search box and read the winning court claims to see what they did

            Hi again,
I've drafted up a quick defence. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I did it pretty quickly as I plan to make incremental improvements according to feedback provided up until it's in a strong state nearer to the deadline.

            Hi all,
I’ve received a claim form now and intend to send off the acknowledgement (with a blank defence box) to give myself an extra month.
Was anyone able to check over my defence or give any feedback?
also, can I reuse some of the same defence points from my POPLA appeal? Since they are still valid I guess
