Tsb

Hi all,

recently opened a TSB account the one where you get 5% interest ( dropping to 3% shortly)

I am transferring the required amount of money in per month ( £500) but not receiving any interest, I must be doing something wrong, can I just check

do I need to have any direct debits coming out of this account ? or is there anything obvious anyone can think of that I'm doing wrong and not getting the monthly interest for

thanks

  • You don't need any DDs for interest but check online that you are set to paperless, if not, you won't get interest.

    Hi,

You also need to be registered for internet banking and paperless statements and paperless correspondence.

Edit: I'm too slow typing lol....everyone else got here first...

You should not expect to see your interest for last month until tomorrow. TSB always credit the Plus interest on the second working day of the month

That is not correct. I just logged on to check and I have already been credited interest...(transaction dated 2nd June 2019)

Historically, yes, but their current Ts & Cs (dated 8 April 2019) now state "Interest is paid by the 2nd of each month". Wonder if anyone checked yesterday?
