Pretty slick from Virgin on a Sunday
To confirm what others have said, I closed my Regular Saver 13 which had become an Easy Access account this morning, the money was in my linked account pretty soon, and it's now in my 1.2% Skipton easy access account which is set up to feed my other very hungry regular savers
Retired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."2 -
Yes, Skipton is pretty instant(ish) with deposits, even at weekends/bank holidays. It's just withdrawals that they only do on working days.oh and it's Skipton and already there.0 -
Am I wrong that Skipton don't operate weekend transactions then? Is your Skipton receipt dated today or Monday? I'm keen to learn.veryintrigued said:
If that's aimed at me (Difficult to tell when the quote function isn't used), then no my nominated account isnt paying more than 0.5% but the account I then transferred it to is.schiff said:Is your nominated external account paying more than the 0.50% the Virgin money would earn in the Easy Access account the RS proceeds are being transferred to? It won't be Skipton.
Over twice that rate, oh and it's Skipton and already there.0 -
I am wrong, colsten said. Apologies all round if required!schiff said:

Still waiting for mine & MrsM's to arrive in Santander from this morning. After a couple of hours went back and checked the linked account numbers just in case !quirkydeptless said:Pretty slick from Virgin on a Sunday

I closed the account and arrived in my nominated account within half an hour"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Not that it helps you getting your money but mine arrived fine in Santander earlier today, within minutes of closing the VM account. It's possible that some maintenance, or temporary outage, is delaying the transfer now. I am sure it will turn up before long if you used the correct sort code and account numbers.molerat said:
