I’d allow around £300 to get kitted out. Even if they don’t need it all initially, they drip feed random equipment through the year - football boots, fancy calculator, art supplies, home ec ingredients. Our secondary school makes you buy PE kit and school jumpers from a particular supplier… PE stuff was £150 on it’s own. Annoying 💰

Don’t buy a blazer unless you know they will wear it or unless it’s compulsory.

Thanks both, good advice. Will also be using my sister in law as a uniform guru as her oldest 2 are at the same school. Don't want to end up with a load of new things that are unnecessary or will be outgrown before being used so will try to rein myself in. Will keep an eye on the local charity shops too.
DH pay day today and the mortgage payment has gone out, looking forward to the monthly CC payments going out tomorrow so I can update my signature 😊 I can also cancel the standing order to M&S tomorrow as it won't be needed 1 Aug 👏, will be adding this money to the monthly amount sent to V12 as that's the next debt to target.
Received another £3 from V!nted, so £5 PAD to M&S today.

Another little £2 from V!nted sent across to M&S and 2 more small sales this evening all packed and ready to go in the morning. Oh and the slippers are back from the ridiculous seller 😂 I've already relisted them but am being petty as I'm in no rush to confirm I've received them, she can have her £1.50 back at the last possible moment!
New debt total £4409 (M&S CC £59)

So close, you’re making such great progress 🤩. Are you doing minimums on the other debts?
Don’t blame you with the V!nted slipper woman… so did she pay the returns postage to get a tiny refund?!

Minimums on the 2 other cards are 1% of the balance but I prefer to pay a little bit more. V12 is £42.78 a month but round up to £50.
Yes slipper lady had to buy a returns label, I can't find any sort of logic to apply to this situation. I could have refused the return as I'd described it accurately but I was curious as to whether she would see how ridiculous she was being in wasting her own time and money returning them but obviously not 😂

They certainly do!
A few more £'s from V!nted to add to today's PAD
New debt total £4401 (M&S CC £51)
Absolutely exhausted today, been a busy week for work for both DH and I as well as running the boys around to their clubs. Also popped out of work today to attend a funeral service for my friend's Mum which was very emotional, pleased I was able to attend and support friend though.
DS2 has gone up a level in swimming 👏 and is doing some transition sessions to Cubs as he turns 8 in the holidays so will be moving up from Beavers in September. Both boys have had 'move up' day at school so have spent a day with their new teachers for September. DS1 has his early transition day at secondary school tomorrow which he seems to be taking in his stride as he's really looking forward to it.
I've got a long weekend off now so hoping to have a bath and early night tonight to feel more rested and then can actually make the most of the time off. DH is gigging Sat and Sun but looks like Sat is more family friendly so hoping to take the boys to see their Dad play live in front of an audience which would be lovely.
Really really tempted to pay the £51 off M&S now 😆 but I'm trying so hard to build consistent habits of the daily PADS as a method of working on my patience levels too!
