Right my positive pants are back on after a mildly irritating day 😂

Positives to mention - met sis in law for coffee and catch up, took Mum for her shopping, took the boys and a friend to the local skatepark after school. Thanks to the aforementioned rain, plans to have an ice cream were rapidly abandoned so I've transferred the £10 I'd planned to spend there to the CC. Also picked up a book for DS1 from the charity shop for a bargain 10p

Another V!nted parcel has been updated to delivered, hopefully this one will get to payment stage without any issues 🤞

    Today's PAD: £12 to M&S CC

  • annoying about V!nted… it’s kind of unspoken that you just relist anything that doesn’t fit, items not fitting is the risk you take buying blind. Petty of her to raise a dispute 🙄

Totally agree @ohdearhowdidthathappen I look forward to leaving an appropriate review once the items are returned as looking back on her reviews she's done similar before. Lesson learned 😆1 more sale today to sort when I get home from work.

DS1's cubs has been cancelled tonight due to the heat so once I finish work I'll pick the boys up and we can have a chill evening ahead of the match. DH should be home before The boys haven't been sleeping well so we'll see how long they stay awake this evening, I predict they'll both be fast asleep on the sofas by the 2nd half 😂

Family friend has her consultant appointment this afternoon so hopefully will know more about her prognosis soon, fingers crossed for the best possible outcome for the circumstances.

£4 payout from V!nted alongside the usual PAD today.

    Today's PAD: £6 to M&S CC

Thanks @ohdearhowdidthathappen still waiting on an update but the same family have had another family member called in last minute for an operation too so, understandably, no updates as yet so will continue to think positive thoughts for her and the other family member.

As predicted, the boys were both fast asleep by the end of the first half last night, let them have a bit of a lie in this morning and set off a little later for school. Worked well as we ended up at school pretty much the same time as normal as traffic was a little quieter.

Another work day today, we finally have some of the really hot weather so I'm enjoying sitting in a cool office. We've had a hectic morning so enjoying a bit of down time now while it lasts. Got a notification from school that sports day tomorrow is cancelled due to the forecast, very relieved about this as it's a full day event on the school playing field with no opportunity for shelter. This was another annoyance on Monday, I know I was one of several parents questioning if it was going ahead despite the weather warnings and I was pretty much ignored, I'm pleased common sense has prevailed as there was no way I was permitting the boys being out all day in that heat!

After work I'll be picking the boys up and heading to their swimming lesson so they'll get a chance to cool down. I've got my fan ready as the spectators area is super warm on a cold day so it'll be unbearable this evening 😐️ DH back late this evening so it'll be another quick tea, made a big tuna pasta this morning so that's good to go with some salad once we're all home.

£12.45 cashed out from Pro!ific so added the £12 to today's PAD.

The pasta really hit the spot last night plus enough leftovers for my lunch today 😋

Lovely hot day today, hit 29°. The boys school had a relaxed day for them and also arranged for an ice cream van to visit school, result!

After work we dug out the kids pool and have enjoyed some time outside. DH and the boys have given in and gone inside so I'm enjoying sitting in the pool on my own 😂

Family friends consultation went reasonably well, needs surgery to determine grade and next steps but isn't immediately life threatening. So although still worrying and scary for them, they have positives to cling to. Their other family members surgery was cancelled last minute due to the heat so they need to wait to hear on a new operation date.

Worrying time for them all, I've been friends with the family all my adult life and DH has known them separately from myself since childhood, so they're almost like an extension of our own family.

In more frivolous news, no sign of getting my slippers back from the ridiculous V buyer 😉but have had another £2 payout today which I've added to the CC PAD.
