It was at end of garden , we chose to have slightly bigger garden...😀0 -
The back lawn looks like plastic grass, but I could be wrong.
I could probably cope with the issues of differing heights in the garden, but if it was plastic grass I would not be interested in buying at all.
As others have mentioned the issues with the garden, and just one bathroom for a larger house, plus the price would put me off from viewing.0 -
You have roughly the same problems as another house on another thread on here.
Your house is on a corner and what would have been the position of the garage is at the back of the house. People generally don't want this arrangement. What they want is a garage on the side of the house. This means that you can often get two cars side by side on offstreet parking not what you have got which would be one on the drive and one in the road.
So the ideal for a 4 bed family house is this.
1 Double garage on the side of the house with two side by side parking spaces.
One behind the other means keep moving cars to get the one out nearest the house. Or a lot of forward planning on which car is going to be used next.
2 Large garden at the back.
3 Kitchen diner. (Room for a family to sit round a table.
4 A lot of storage space.
I am sure that there are others but anything it lacks means that people will pay less for it.
It is too far from the station for most people. So you wouldn't choose to live there if you needed the station unless it was cheaper.
My feeling is that it is very overpriced and has been priced in line with a house nearer the station and with the offstreet parking that people want rather than what is there.0 -
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-53849013.html This was marketed at £10k less than yours and it is bigger.
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-56465652.html It is possible to buy a 4 bed detached for about £30k less than yours. I would have bought this one before yours if I was looking to buy in that area as well.
It is about £20k to £30k overpriced in my opinion.0 -
Thankyou all for your honest feedback. I will defo take on board the many comments and advice its always good to get other peoples views especially when not emotionally invested as I am.

Consider dropping to 249,950 to catch those for whom 250k is top limit. That's what I've just done with a flat I'm selling0

Its a quiet cul-de-sac and there is easily parking for 3 cars on the street. And the is plenty of room to widen the drive for 2 side by side if wanted, I really don't see that as a problem in this house.
When you aren't in a rush to sell you have time to drop slowly and see when you get a bite, so 10k then 2 months later another 10k.
I watched a house next door stick hard to her price and i think it was 5 years of on/off, even getting planning for a full side ext in the last year just to try justifying the price, After 5 years it was simply worth that price!0 -
I don't know the area but to me it is a lovely looking house but for some reason feels small for a 4 bed. probably just meAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0
