They can do if they wish to , it probably won't do any good , nothing they say will change it with MET who will probably ignore it and carry on regardless

Did you ever get a POPLA code from MET?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The funny thing is that the RK never received a POPLA code. If you look at the first link/letter posted earlier on the thread, MET are asking for the driver to be identified. That was their response to the template all newbies (like RK) should use with a PPC.

    Anyway, RK ignored the letter.

    Does that change anything?

RK hasn't received an ntk either , hence no popla code

A BPA complaint with copies of the paperwork , lack of NTK and lack of a Popla code should be made , that way met might drop it having failed on all counts

    Do exactly as Redx advises.

Thank you Redx. RK has sent an email to steve.c at BPA.
    How quickly do they reply?

    Hi,
Steve C had replied back, with his colleague in copy. They have no power to cancel the PCN but said they will be conducting an investigation into MET's behavior.

I also sent them an email stating they failed to comply with legal requirements and the next email I expect is for the PCN to be cancelled or they will be pursing the matter in court at their own expense.

Within about 3 hours it seems!

Whatever you think of the BPA, you have to hand it to Steve C that he is a decent human being, trying to do the right thing on a Saturday evening during his non-working weekend. Kudos to Steve almost every time from me.

The BPA have never been in a position to directly order/demand a cancellation (after all their members pay their salaries), but once they focus their microscope on the PPC, they quite often feel the heat.

For now, let Steve do what he's going to do.
