Parking Eye/Popla refusal

Hi. In December I parked at a local cinema and put my registration number into their machine. At the same time I entered hubby's registration number as he had a car load too.
I later received a fine saying I hadn't entered my number so I submitted an appeal with parking eye, which they refused.
I then appealed with Popla, submitting evidence of ticket purchase during the times I was there but it was still refused. At this point I thought the amount was held at £50.
I received a letter from Popla saying I need to pay the fine and enclosed a form asking if I wanted to pay in installments. I replied offering 3 installments of the £50 but they refused and said I owe £100!
Is there anything I can do, or should I just pay up?
Thanks.

Have you asked the cinema to cancel it? They are the principle so have the power.0

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread
Go there now to learn about the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this
#4 in that thread covers the debt collection stage you are now in
Ignore everything except a lbcca or court correspondence
If it comes to that then come back to the FAQ for advice on how to deal with a court claim at that time0 -
Thanks, I'll take a look st the guide.0

I am surprised you received a letter from POPLA saying you need to pay the invoice (it's not a fine) as they are (supposed to be) an independent arbiter. Are you sure it didn't just say that the appeal was declined/refused? It is the PPC that would be saying you had to pay.0

Sorry, my mistake, I meant parking eye. I've now contacted the cinema who said they can't do anything so find myself stuck again.0

How are you stuck again?
Have you studied the post on the debt collection stage?
Now your popla failed you wait and see as advised
You could escalate your complaint to see if you can get to the right person in the cinema hierarchy!
Otherwise it's a waiting game0 -
I'm stick because Popla denied my appeal and Parking Eye are asking for the money.
I'll visit the cinema tomorrow and ask to speak to the manager.
If no success there it leaves me stumped again.0 -
The cinema may not be telling the truth. If it was them that employed Parking Eye then they can cancel it.0

As you have been advised, pe or their debt collector will ask you to pay throughout the debt collection stage you were advised to read about in the FAQ
This won't stop until either they issue a court claim or you pay them0 -
I couldn't find the debt collection information.0
