So it sounds like they arent taking into account my payments made? Very odd. Should my payments be detailed on the bills?
It came about just over the course of this years bills...they just jumped up out of nowhere?0 -

Indeed - every payment you can see on your bank account should have a corresponding entry on the bills.0 -
Go back over your statements as far as you can and find out when the DD stopped being taken.
This is becoming a bit of a minefield.
Joe - on a slightly different aspect. when did you last change tariffs ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
No idea. Really confusing. Sorry if I sound vague.
Appreciate your help!
What do you mean by saying you have no idea where the figures came from???
You posted them. You must know where you got them from.
Anyway, according to the bill you have shown us, it says that the annual cost of your electricity is anticipated to be £1908.44
That's not bad considering you are on the suppliers very expensive, standard variable tariff (equivilent)
The bill says you could save £255.78 by transferring to another tariff.
What help are you seeking?0 -

No need for sarcasm love...I am completely confused by the whole thing so I meant I had no idea where they came from as in, what they mean/how they came about.
I posted in my first message what help I was seeking...I have posted it again below as it appears you need me to point it out again.I've no complaints about the way they have handled it really I just want to know what to expect before I speak to them? Can they make me do the 500 p/m? They've already emailed me and said they have changed my direct debit amount from the 80 I pay to 500....?0 -
Hi
Looking at your reads above you started on 41338 and 29748 August 2018 and billed to 48072 and 30998 for May 2019. This confirms 1250 on day rate and 6734 on the night. This would be around 1k worth of usage on the charges shown on the above bill (I think I’m no carol lol) Was your account opened longer? Did you have a prev address that a balance may have been transferred in from?0 -
Hi,
Looking for some advice....we had storage heaters fitted 12 months ago. We were told we could leave them on according to our Economy 7 tariff thing and that they were energy saving (by the installer/electrician) Anyway...a year later and we have a HUGE electricity bill for £2k all of which from entered readings.
Eon have been really good and they have spoken to me a number of times as we were concerned there was something wrong (we have a very very small two bedroom flat) However, it looks likeit's correct.
What they are saying now is they want a direct debit of 500 p/m which is more than my rent...! I understand why of course....The advice I'm after is - how long a period can I negotiate spreading the bill over? Does any one have any ideas? I've no complaints about the way they have handled it really I just want to know what to expect before I speak to them? Can they make me do the 500 p/m? They've already emailed me and said they have changed my direct debit amount from the 80 I pay to 500....?
Thanks in advance!
Hello Joe1987 and welcome to the Forums.
Sorry for the late reply. We've been away from the Forums since early last week. Already some good advice on here - thanks all.
If you haven't already, please talk to us about your monthly payments. We'll be happy to look at spreading the balance over a more manageable period. As you pay with a Monthly Direct Debit, we can certainly look at 12 months and include your ongoing usage. As Biscuit Tin says, once the balance has been cleared, payments would go down to cover the usage only.
The statement posted by thorganby was issued on 25 May 19. This is a revised statement with £2137.68 coming from a previous statement on 24 May 19. I suspect your payments will be on this earlier statement. They'll be on the first page.
As Robin9 says, have you had a look at different tariffs? There are cheaper tariffs available than the one you're on both with us and with the other suppliers. There are no exit fees or tie-ins with the tariff you're on.
You can switch to another of our tariffs straightaway. Be careful if you're thinking of changing supplier as some of our other tariffs do have exit fees for switching away outside of the renewal period. Exit fees don't apply when moving between our tariffs and you can do this online through our website.
Sorry again for the late reply Joe1987 and glad our advisors have been helpful.
