How to enforce parking restrictions without being an a%&$ ?

It's a couple of mins tops at the start and end of their shift
As a result of this discussion my plan is to enforce via self-ticketing and motion-activated CCTV. If after a few months word hasn't got out not to park there then I'll look at other options.0 -

The main thing is I don't want to spend a lot of money or spend a lot of time.
Apparently each enforcement company is as bad as the next according to advice here, so I'll probably just pick one at random and make sure that the contract with them gives me sufficient rights to sack them and cancel any penalty invoices.

Not much to ask I suppose.0 -

I don't want to run a parking enforcement company, or spend a fortune on bollards which are a pain for staff to manage. Nor do I want to be issuing Small Claims Court actions when people just ignore warnings when there are no consequences - it takes a lot of work, and I have enough work chasing business creditors without having to add chasing local motorists.
The car park is behind an office building, and as I said, it's not practical to put physical barriers in place. Often we need to double-park to get all our cars in (this is permitted in the lease as long as we stay in our area and don't cause obstruction to others), and bollards would prevent that.
Cars parked there that shouldn't aren't causing an obstruction other than preventing us from parking in our bays so pretty sure it'd be unlawful to tow them.
Double park behind them, so they're as inconvenienced as you are when they're not able to get out?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

self ticket , or be a "norris cole" with a phone and an App , getting £10 every time you potentially give a parking Co £100 - £200
camera will not work , you have stated over and over again , DETERRENT , a phone with an app is not a deterrent , it bloody sneaky
anyway , people have offered alternatives , they are all "to much hard work" , so do as you wish
bye bye0 -
You could paint reserved on the parking spaces with a member of staff's initials. You would be perfectly within your rights to do this. There has been some cases however of people painting disabled markings on the street outside their house to stop anyone parking outside. That did stop people parking but it was illegal.

As to whether it's a deterrent or not, we'll see. My suspicion is that there are less than 50 cars that park here on and off; there are definitely about 10 that I see regularly. It won't take long before they've all been done and won't come back and will stop telling their friends there is free parking behind our building.
I'll report back in a few months, and thanks for all your help :-)0 -

Sorry but you really don't understand.
Parking companies do not work on "if's or buts", they work on £100 a pop ... this is their only interest.
Contracts up to 5 years and breaking the contract costs a fortune

If you really think that you know better than us ..... proceed0 -
