  • Great that work are being supportive, I think enforced rest will help.

Sounds like you’re covered, but if you do find you’re in need of something picked up, I’m at the other end of a PM ;) Can’t imagine we are a million miles apart, so happy to hop on a bus any time over Sat, Sun, Mon, don’t be shy :)

You are all so very kind. I'm actually really touched by kind messages and offers of help, thank you. Thank you BlackCoffee for being prepared to do that for someone you don't really know. I'm lucky that I have a good family and they are really helping out. Work have told me not to go back until after the break. I feel better already. I don't mind my work but I think forcing myself in each day was not making me better.

Tea last night was delicious and it's the most I've eaten in a week. My appetite continued to return this morning as I've managed scrambled egg on toast and a banana, when on Tuesday I couldn't finish the toast alone.

Just getting organised for the dentist. I'll be back later to catch up on other diaries.

I've not ventured out today. I'm not sure if it's because I'm ill or because I'm being lazy. I feel like I should be starting to do stuff now. LMG is working today but finishing at 4pm so we will probably go to the supermarket later when it should be a bit quieter. I'll tell myself that I've stayed in the warm and rested today (I have). I'll probably head out with the family tomorrow as that's just a case of being driven around and stopping for coffee in the afternoon.

I think I'll start a new diary at the beginning of January to get away from my misery. Fresh start, new goals, healthy, happy place. Okay, it might not always be happy but I don't want it to be as depressing as this one haha.

I need a proper clean of this place. I'm going to have to empty the cupboards and bin all the out of date stuff. I'll do the fridge and freezer on Monday as I need to start getting the food prepped for next Wednesday. My head is telling me it's ok to not do much tomorrow and Sunday so that I'm as well as I can be (considering the situ) next week to pull it all together.

Still got the same few bits to get but I should manage some later as long as they're not all sold out. Boyfriend picked up some sprouts but he underestimated the amount we can eat :rotfl: so I'll need to get some more.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. I am starting to :)

I've picked up all the bits and pieces that I need. I have wrapped everything (first time ever I won't have to wrap on Christmas Eve). Today I need to tidy up and straighten everything, clean a wee bit and make sure all is in order. Tomorrow I cook.

£32 left in the cash grocery budget, £16 on the Asda card, £44 in the slush fund.

Annual Christmas meal with the besties was last night but I decided not to go. I had to be realistic with my abilities. I am still gutted that I couldn't go but I know I did the right thing. Bonus is that not only did I save myself some money but I also got my £10 deposit back! That's honestly from my girls for you.

My sis is having a wee Christmas gathering at her house tonight with some nibbles and drinks so I don't need to worry about tea. Just got to think of something for tomorrow night's tea then it will be turkey curry buffet from 26th onwards :rotfl:

I'm pretty exhausted but I'm doing everything bit by bit and that seems to be working so far.

Lovely day yesterday but I did spend most of it in the kitchen. We usually go out for Christmas dinner but circumstances meant we couldn't this year. I love entertaining but I'm looking forward to relaxing next year.

Pottering around today, tidying up and sorting the dishes. I don't want to overdo it so I'll now leave some for tomorrow. Usually I'm all cleared up by now but I'm taking my time so as not to tire myself out completely.

I was totally spoiled yesterday, I'm a very lucky girl.

£30 in the grocery budget, £16 on the Asda card (which I'm starting to doubt is there, may have used it a couple of weeks back and forgotten), £25 in slush fund.

I need to do a shop soon as we have fancy stuff and nibbles but no standard food.
