HOW I do I get off Sky Broadband

I've looked through my SKY online account details and there is nothing to help me cut off my broadband package with them.


I have signed up to a new deal with another provider and would think it would be easy to go online to my account and confirm my decision.

its seems a shocking travesty of their duty as a company to make it so difficult to do it online.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Also can ADMINS flag upto Martin this charlatan practice.

I use that strong term because we know why they do it to put the consumer on the backfoot.

Were you to look at https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-broadband instead of ranting about a "charlatan practice" you would see a simple answer to your question around about half way down the page.

If you are outside the minimum term of the contract then you should just be able to sign up with the new provider and they will inform them they are taking over the service.

If you are still inside the minimum contract but outside the 14 day cooling off period you will be hit for the remainder of the contract fees.

Martin know how it works in 2019 .
You are out of contract then your new ISP does all the work including cancelling .
