We haven't actually got a diagnosis for Ryan yet, but that's what we/they suspect is 'wrong' with him. The quote in my sig is from a poem (unfinished) that I wrote about him - writing poems and things seems to help me put things in perspective and clear my head a bit (probably sounds silly...lol ). They're a bit rubbish though, generally! :rotfl:

How old is your godson? Ryan is 7. I was really worried about what the future would hold for him, but the more I find out, the more I think there's a good chance of him living a fairly normal life, with the right support.

My godson is 13 now, he was about 8 when his mum finally got a diagnosis (had to fight for it, education labelled him as a disruptive child).He is doing great now he has the right support in place.He is highly intelligent but takes every word you say literally, he doesnt like crowds, doesnt like to be touched and doesnt like loud noise if he comes to visit he has to take something home with him (he brings it back).He is funny about food likes certain colours and has them seperate on his plate.He is a great lad and I enjoy his company very much.
