Santander bank cards

Hi hoping someone who banks with Santander can help me.

What type of cards do you receive with a 123 current account and what kind of cash card do you receive with an ISA account?

How distinguishable are the two, are they both red in colour and what do they say on the front of each card?

Many thanks

  • You don’t usually get a card with an ISA account.

You manage the ISA online, with a passbook or via your current account card

My debit card is gold & has "debit" written on it, my credit card is black & has "credit" written on it. My ISAs don't have cards.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • Hi,

my card is a red Visa debit card, and you can link your cash isa to it.

When you use card for cash withdrawal it gives you the option current account or isa.
  • Thanks for your replies. Does anybody have an ISA which comes with a seoerate Santander Cash Card?
  • Hi,

    from Santander:

    Manage the ISA account

Online and Mobile Banking, branch, telephone and cash machines.

A cash card can be requested or the account can be linked to an existing Santander card.

I’m not sure how this would help you.

It could be a legacy product they no longer offer

Why would you want a cash card for an ISA?

Not an ISA specifically, but I have had a Santander saving account with a cash card in 2015. I still have the card. It’s red and white and looks very similar to the debit card on my Santander current account. It has a Santander logo top left, the words “Cash Card” top right, a normal-looking 16-digit card number, valid from and expiry dates and my name. Obviously there’s no visa or MasterCard logo on it.

My most recent ISA (eISA Issue 3 I think, without checking?), opened last month, came with a red cash card.
