Thanks for your help on the HD query, still searching for a TV can't fit 37" in space next to fireplace, will have to go for 32" unless wall mounted, above fireplace, then what do people do with thier dvd players, freeview boxes etc??? I've always wondered, because can't put below as fireplace there ( victorian non-working ) otherwise where do the cables go.
Sorry to sound so dim, but really want to order today if poss & the wall mouted versus on stand but smaller is a problem.
Thank you again for all your help, could do with discussing with my hubby, but he is on a ship & no phone signal at the moment, only e-mail & they only get sent out once a day!!!Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner :beer:

have just found the answer to analogue tuner question - apparently you will need an adapter to allow you to view digital programs through the aerial after February 2009 unless you have a digital tuner.
You will still be able to view via cable & freeview without a digital tuner.
Hope this is correct
Found on another site that the changeover in my area is not until 2012!!! so won't worry about that, if I need to get a new TV this one can go in the bedroom as my old one, that I'm going to put in the bedroom will either be dead or nearly 10 years old by then, it's only 5 years old, but is rubbish! Only buying a new one as my 15 year old portable has died.Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner :beer:

Was going to go through ebuyer as they have a good deal with a half price stand for the 32", but got an email from hubby & I know he wants the 37" we will all have bad necks as our living room is SO small :rotfl:
It looks beautiful with it's high gloss finish, can't wait to get it now:p

Sure will Suggs, Tv has already tracked with quidco about £7 odd off as they pay on price less vat.
Have spoken to a friend ( professional TV & aerial man ) who will fit the TV for me, will only charge me £60 usually charges around £130, sounds like I will be having the cables in concuit down from the middle of the TV, along the mantle ( yuk ) & down to the skirting board & connected to DVD & Virgin box, will still have to have them on some kind of shelf or something, haven't figured that one out yet, he has advised me to get a tilting TV mount instead of a fixed one & also as I have a small front room to sit & look at where the TV will be for about 10 mins to see if it hurts your neck!
I may see if he can drill through the chimney breast instead.
He also advised me I would need to buy longer cables, going to ring him up now I've decided on this one & see what I need.
So far I have seen a tilting bracket from e-buyer £34.98, & looking on sites I have seen quite a few scarts that are 1-2 metres long, some even have plug on ends to the scart leads, so you can poke them through the wall the pop the end on.
I can see I'm going to have another LONG day on here looking for things:eek:Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner :beer:

Update;
Spoke to TV installer, needed 2 x 3metre scart leads & will also need a "kettle lead" so I can plug the TV in as they usually only come with short leads! will check out when it arrives, to make sure I get connection right.
I have found a cheap wall bracket from Maplin ( via quidco again 3% ) £29.97 & is adjustable there are only 7 left ( A86H3 ) fits from 30" - 63" so if you want one get it now, also bought 2x 3m scarts £9.99 each, free delivery over £35 ALSO if you spend over £50 there is a box to click for £3 off! in the checkout page, so bought 2 x batteries for my bathroom scales £1.99 each - so got them for a pound really.
Hope this helps someone:D
Maplin have already tracked on Quidco another £1.84 ( better than nothing )Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner :beer:
