None in stock at Ebuyer or BT shop. Ebuyer is the YT08-37E1-000G.

I ordered from clearancebuys yesterday and had an email late in the day apologising that, due to computer problems (it's true as their website was down earlier) it would not be delivered today but will come tomorrow. Since I was not expecting next day delivery for £7.50 I'm not too worried. Besides, the other half says I can't have it until Christmas anyway

    I ordered the JT02-37E2-000G model.

    Advantages (to me) are:
    2 x HDMI sockets
200w power consumption (others are 270w)
    1200:1 contrast ratio (1000:1)
    High gloss finish

    Disadvantages:
The others have PIP but since I never used it when I had it on an analogue TV I am sure I won't miss it.

The set is to replace a 10 year old 28" analogue which I am sure cost almost as much at the time so this seems a real bargain to me.
  • I'm replacing my 7 year old toshiba 28in tv and that cost me about £450 i have been looking at this tv for ages and it has some good reviews, for the money i don't think you can do better.

    They say they are http://www.clearancebuys.co.uk/About-Us-sp-6.html.

Got an email to say it's been despatched for delivery tomorrow but I'm not home until Friday so I will update when I've had a play with it.
  • I doubt these will go much cheaper look at it this way you can buy this tv for around £370 or you could buy a toshiba for about £670 i know what i'd buy
  • I'm so confused by these new fangled tv's ! The Hansprees look good value, but no freeview I guess. What I'm confused about is are they going to be ok when everything switches over, I know they say HD, but I keep seeing tvs with "FULL HD" what's the difference??
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Steveymp you say that the JT02-37E2-000G model should have 2 HDMI inputs? Looking at the BT site it says it only has 1. Is this a mistake at BT end then?

Yep the JT02 has 2 HDMI's and a greater contrast ratio of 1200:1 in comparison to 1000:1 the YT08 has. Ebuyer are selling the YT08, I just got my mine ordered yesterday from misco and they are as of this morning out of stock as well :o

The replacement model is available with freeview built in and 1080p capability for £529 for the 37" or £399 for the 32"

Hope whoever wants one of the older models still gets them but remember go for the JT02 model in preference ;)

EDIT: https://www.clearancebuys.co.uk still saying in stock

    BT saying 1-2 days
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

    Full HD is a 1080p resolution will have a display 1920x1080p and a HD ready is a 1080i resolution with a resolution of about 1366 x 768.

You can buy a freeview box which has a 1080i resolution or a freeview box with 1080p resolution which has a better resolution. Look at this page to compare the 2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080i.

Full HD is more expensive in most places.
  • HD and Full HD have nothing to do with the digital switch over, the D part in HD is for Definition NOT Digital. HD means High Definition ... more dots, pixels per inch. Your HD television will only make use of HD when a high definition source is used ... Sky HD, some games consoles, high definition DVD player (Blue Ray, etc.). Freeview is not currently a high definition source. After the digital switch over this HD television will display nothing unless it is connected to a digital source e.g. Freeview box via scart socket.
