Adult Only Hotel - Is there a list

Quite possibly.
But in my own experience, children do tend to 'run about' on holiday as the OP observed.
Not every OAP (me included) needs to have the TV on maximum volume nor do I take 'an age' to check in.
My most recent hotel stay at Easter, I took an age to check in. Not because I'm old and past it but because the receptionist was totally disorganised.0 -

Pot, kettle.
Op, where are you thinking of going. Most resorts will have adult only hotels and as someone else said the likes of Sandals are completely adults only so you can choose a resort based on the chain rather than vice versa.
I threw 'adults only hotel no children' into Google and a few of the holiday companies came up with their adults only options.
We are off to one of the Greek islands in a few days for a break and some pampering in a totally child-free zone. Good luck in what you choose.0 -
TUI's excellent Gold hotels are all adult only - over many years we've stayed in, or visited, all but 2 (and some that are no longer Gold) since son and heir reached his later teens and became independent, well before we approached retirement age.

We've recently returned from the Hotel Yaramar in Fuengirola, which leaves the "missing" two - one in Mallorca, the other the Algarve, both on the bucket list.
As mentioned, TUI Sensimar are also adult only, and there is a dedicated brochure covering both types in TUI stores.
The OP asked a reasonable question, there was absolutely no need for the smartass reply that followed.0 -
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but not to slate off the OP in an unnecessary aggressive tone in the answer of Post 2. The original question was an eminately sensible and useful one. If someone wants to stay at a family hotel and it suits them that's is great. I just prefer a hotel without children and that is my choice. Yes you do get a number of older guests but not all are over 60, nor are the majority inconsiderate with noise. Generally and quite naturally most children are noisy and boisterous when on holiday. The H10 Ocean Maya Royale in Riviera Maya Mexico is an adult only hotel I can really recommend. If anyone can add any more adult only hotels not already mentioned then perhaps they could give details on this post and then we can start to build up a useful list of Adult only hotels for those that are interested. I for one will be extremely grateful.0

Is there list somewhere of Adult only hotels without have to scroll down a number of sites and identify them .Personally I am one of those people who enjoy a relaxing holiday without children running about.
If any of the TUI Gold hotels catches your eyes I'm happy to offer opinions - except the Falesia (Algarve) and Picafort Park (Mallorca) which we have not stayed in.0 -

We are going to the Coronas Playa in Lanzarote in a couple of months. It’s a Tui Gold hotel, adults only. First time at that hotel but the reviews on Trip Advisor are positive.0 -
Try a search on Expedia. They seemed to have added "Adult only" to the name of hotels where this is appropriate. Just add "adult" to the "Search by property name" box to filter Adult only hotels.
Other hotel booking sites might also do the same but I've not tried them.0 -
We will now only stay at adult only hotels and are a great fan of them. Whilst there is a time and place for children it not for us. They have the option of staying in family hotels which is geared to their need whilst Adult only hotels are geared to ours. We are not pensioners being in our 50's
Three Adult only hotels not mentioned so far that we have used are;
Alegria Palacio In Mojacar
Occidental Atenea Mar in Barcelona
Gran Hotel Sol Y Mar in Calpe.0 -
I am all in favour of freedom of choice and when going on holiday you choose what is suitable to you. Rather than just being a general holidays that is meant to be suitable to everyone but that is rarely the case it is much better to aim at one sector. A Family Hotel. 18 to 30 type of hotel or an Adult only hotel. Personally I think there should me more in each category. In the past few years we have tended to stay at Adult only hotels, because that is what suits us. One that we visited recently in Portugal and was good was the Vila Gale Collection Praia.0
