Similarly are there any OAP free hotels? Ones that don't have TV's on maximum volume or take an age at the desk to book in.

    Any particular location, Pensioner Dave?
I stayed in a hotel in Tunisia towards the end of the 'long-stay' period (i.e. over winter) and was the youngest there by a good 30 years.

You could look at the Sandals group.

    But beware:
a tour operator may say a hotel is adults only but other tour operators could allow to book families in.

    To answer you specific question:
    I don't know of a list.

TUI sensimar hotels are all adult only. You can search on Tui's website and it will list all of the sensimar hotels.

It's not 100% foolproof but definitely go in term time and avoid anywhere with obvious facilities aimed at families like water parks and the like. You don't say what type of holiday you're planning but I rarely see children mid week, term time on sightseeing city breaks.

Yes I concur I like a beach holiday where the hotel is adult only. There does not seem to be enough of these hotels available. Nowadays I feel rather than general hotels it is good to have family hotels and adult hotels. The other option is have adult only hotels most of the year but making these family hotels in July and August.

We stayed at the Sensimar Atlantica Imperial in Rhodes over Easter. It was brilliant. I would never have gone over the Easter holidays to a hotel with children. Been there, done that, don’t want to now.

Incidentally, marmite1979, I may qualify for a bus pass but I’m not in my dotage thank you. Nothing wrong with my hearing or my understanding what’s being said to me!

One wonders if marmite1979 really is looking for an OAP-free hotel or just being passive-aggressive...

Or maybe just reflecting back in kind on the OP's own comment.

    Quite possibly.

But in my own experience, children do tend to 'run about' on holiday as the OP observed.

Not every OAP (me included) needs to have the TV on maximum volume nor do I take 'an age' to check in.
