I was like you, in needle hatred, but major event in life meant I had to have so many I simply lost fear/reaction/anticipation of pain, etc.etc. Ever since, it's a ho-hum and I simply look away - not from scaredy-cat thoughts, but simply to stop the visual thing kicking in.

I had 3 tests end of last year. it isn't a concious thing, i flip out, I can't help it, i'll go but it took 4 people last time. not intentional at all. :o:o:o:o:o
Have a good day, you're being strong and doing great things.

Hi pania! Gosh, big changes going on in panialand. I'm glad to hear you sound quite calm about the split with the OH, hope you really are OK.

Re the eye thing - this is probably irrelevant and of no interest but I thought I'd mention it just in case. I too have a chronic eye problem which like yours is aggravated by long hours sitting. It eventually was diagnosed as a tear duct issue. In certain positions the duct gets blocked, water doesn't get delivered to the eye, and the eyeball sticks inside. Very painful but not at all life-threatening so I declined the offer of surgery! Knowing to keep moving my head helps. As I said probably irrelevant.

thanks for that seaxwyn. i'll get it checked out, my eye is compeltely pain free. curiouser and curioser said alice.

hmmm just spoken to our accounts at work, from now on fuel will be paid by cheque in the middle of the month, whereas that usually would be paid as part of my salary at the end of the month. Now that does mean that i can go whoop de whoop i'm gonna have lots of money. more that my bank balance will look pretty damned healthy mid month, I just need to be careful not to spend it before payday as i shall need it for the next month!!! eek!!!

Hmm is this yet another ad hoc change to your contracts? and paid by cheque - that normally indicates that a firm is going through a bad finance patch!
