that doesn't sound bad at all. a clean break would've been easier but booting him out and him still paying the bill sis a far more MSE way of separating!!!

oh god just realised that makes me sound reeeeally evil!! it's not like that i promise!!!! aaargh!!!! delete!delete!delete!
Nooo not at all, it's far more sensible to do it slowly and sensibly (too many sensibles there) and however works for you. Quite a bit of my debt was run up when I left my ex - I went from paying minimal bills and share of a tiny mortgage to £400 a month rent (I seem to remember putting the deposit for my first rented flat of my own on my credit card) and he got the proceeds from house sale that was all in his name! It was worth it really, better than being stuck with the miserable b*****
but far from ideal way of going about things!

Glad to hear you're feeling chipper Pania
I suspect the "up" is because you've finally made a blooming decision-one you knew you'd have to make at some point. It's all positive stuff -a civilised split and one that isn't financially wrecking is the best way if both can handle itI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

sorry to hear your news Pania, such a lot changed over this weekend. If you need a change of view or a chat you know where i live and you are welcome here anytime.
I was away with OH over the weekend in the big city, why does it always cost so much, now i know i've uttered that cry before. He's coming here another twice this month and i'm determined to enjoy his visit without it costing more than just time together.0
