ok ok people i concede defeat. I promise you that if i did go to the gym it would only be GENTLE exercise as i have been advised to do. But i realise once there the temptation would be to push it further.
SO hypno and i have struck a deal. Due to certain oppositions if i were honest i haven't put in the road miles, yes i'd get round the marathon but i wouldn't do it well and COULD risk making things worse. COuple with the eye problem could just be asking for trouble.
I'm disappointed i was looking forward to it, but I guess there is always next year and i can concentrate on getting myself fit and in shape with some in between races until then. And I will be able to focus on it more.
I need to start doing some more ME stuff, not pandering so much to other whims. that way, if the eye hadn't have happened i would've been in a better situation to do so.
Right must dash, take care all. and thankyou, I mean that.

And thank you hypno to, I've said it before and i say it again. your a blo0dy good friend. looking forward to our first run. :)
:T :T :T Thank goodness for that:j
Hope you are feeling much better soon Pania, my friend had a detached retina and it was fixed:kisses3: sorry to hear about OH as well- obviously on same wavelength as mr. Bob:cool: Hope little BOB has not found all my posts:eek:
but he has heard the odd-hmm argument. Still, he is old enough to cope with stuff will just have to guard stuff more carefully:cool:
Well done to Hypno for pledge, i think if i were to run a marathon it would take me a week!

:rotfl: :rotfl: I think if i were to start running now, i would probably make it to London for next years marathon:o I think i may join in your challenge, look out for a curly haired, slightly overweight woman, panting away in period costume. Will be red faced and limping or maybe crawling:rotfl:

Heck if anyone in Medway wants to start training now I'll join in too. If I start now I might just be fit enough by this time next year to do it !!

phew thank goodness for that! I KNOW its hard miss P..I really do but youve made the right decision! Maybe a few of us could do it next year (or maybe not!!) - I definately need to increase slowly - being a lard ar@e I have to be careful of back etc so am trying for gradual built up while trying to loose more weight! I've got the 5k with miss P in June (as long as she is well enough!) and we'll see from there!
Well done hypno on doing it too! Mad but a lovelything for you t do and will be a huge support for P! Was getting worried - honestly P its not worth it....

When can you apply for places? If you go to the runners world site theres a woman there called plodding hippo who I then discovered runs at my local wrn group - not a hippo at all but a general slow but sure runner who does a but every day - my kind of girl who also understands the importance of a bra that resembles a scaffold! They also do some good starting training tips (walk run! a minute each works well!)...

Very glad you didn't go to the gym - and :T to Hypno. A braver woman than I. I don't think I could walk 26 miles let alone run it.

I'm sorry to hear things aren't so great for you Pania - but here's hoping the weekend is bearable.

Now, no sneaking running off to the gym while no-one's looking!

Morning Pania and Pania-fans :hello: P, I'm glad you've come to that sensible decision, and it's fab that Hypno is going to train with you - just think how fit you two will be by next year!! :)

Have you got any plans for the weekend? Hope OH is being nicer to you and there were no arguments this morning... though I'm in the 'men - grrr ' camp today after a stupid falling out last night, over money of all things, though in reality just cos he wanted to argue with someone and I was there

My marathon walking plan says I'm meant to be doing 10 miles this weekend - weather and motivation aren't looking good today though!!
