Pania left me a voice mail message at about 5 (that I have only just got because my phone died!) so I know she is aliveSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

morning all. no, no disasters to report thankfully/ unfortunately (thankfully if it involves money going awry/unfortunately i haven't smacked OH with his beloved cricket bat!)
Thanks so much for your concern. I was in a right funny old mood yesterday, I seem to be getting them a fair bit lately and am spending some time looking into why it is happening. I'm getting anxious for no apparent reason and that makes me snappy and sad in equal measure. Went to the gym in the morning yesterday and had a really good work out then took beloved DP out for a stroll in the afternoon and spent some time sitting on the fence in the drizzle with the wind blowing my face watching him eat his tea. That kind of helped me to refocus and see that no matter what is going on with life and no matter how things may seem, nature carries on at it's own pace without us and has no cares at all. the world is a peaceful place if we let it be. How are you all LT and ISOM? how were your weekends?
Well, payday today and i got paid exactly a fiver over what i had predicted so pretty chuffed with that. Just working out the mathematics relating to overpayments etc, back in a sec!
(hope piggy is ok ISOM, been a bit concerned about hi little injury love him. and OH has said to stay in cardiff that night to, yay!)debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
morning P!! Sorry you've been feeling weird...possibly stress? You've had a bit going on recently and maybe its catching up on you? Congratulations on the fiver! Just been reading the roll of honour for inspiration! Never looked before...some are truely inspirational!
Last day at home today and after 3 NSD must leave the house and venture to the shops! Going to do a tapestry for my mums mothers days pressie - I'm on call so we'll have another unofficial one when we an both relax - maybe you could try that with your mum?
Piggy is doing nicely! He's painted and drying so just the embellishments and a coat of varnish and he will be on the way! He is dented but in a loved kind of way & has had lots of councelling to deal with the post traumatic stress. Fear not he is a happy paper mache piggy! He'll even have some eyes later so will be properly "born"!!!!!
Great that you can stay the night - will you come down sat? Let me know where you are thinking of staying BEFORE you book so I can make sure its the best option - will you drive?
Ok must on as need to do things today - seeing a woman about babysitting, getting tapestry stuff, going to gp, a plod (to try new watch out at last) and Mr T's! Then back to work tomorrow...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Glad to know you're alive, pania! And this bit is lovely: "then took beloved DP out for a stroll in the afternoon and spent some time sitting on the fence in the drizzle with the wind blowing my face watching him eat his tea. That kind of helped me to refocus and see that no matter what is going on with life and no matter how things may seem, nature carries on at it's own pace without us and has no cares at all. the world is a peaceful place if we let it be". I couldn't agree more.
Even tho I spent the whole of yesterday slobbing about in the house! I know its true.
Yay to you for working out your projected earnings so well - I'm envious of that! Posting yesterday about how I know roughly what's going on, but its just beyond me to know this stuff accurately. Ah well.
Off into town soon, just wanted to say hi,:wave:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi P! Sorry to hear you've been in a funny mood, sometimes you do need to take a bit of time out don't you.. I think there's something really 'healing' about being out in the fresh air, away from everything, been finding that a really good thing about walking training.
Ho hum, Monday, better do something resembling work I suppose!

HI all!!!! thanks so much for the concern,
Karma i'm more than happy to let you know the formula if you'd like, although am i right in thinking ur self employed?
Monday, work, hmmm i know that feeling, did a startlingly good case over the weekend but then realised the income was totally different!!! so actually having to do some work today...:o :rotfl:
This bit made me laugh ISOM!in_search_of_me wrote:Ok must on as need to do things today - seeing a woman about babysitting, getting tapestry stuff, going to gp, a plod (to try new watch out at last) and Mr T's! Then back to work tomorrow...
GP? MR T?:rotfl:
Have worked out the finances and will be ok, even with the overpayments. I will have £98 left over as me money, budgetting £20 for sisters birthday and mum's day.
However I have the barclays £100 to call up about today and £32 in bingo winnings and amazon to withdraw. Think i'll keep the £100 as just in case money in one of my accounts when it comes through and pay the £32 as an additional overpayment off debt 3 bringing it to £1067.... just another £68 to go until i can happily call it under £1000!:T
Need to get a settlement figure for welcome today too to give to dad. see what he says then....
Off to do some work peeps, chat later. xxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Hello
Lovely to chat the other day P
Had a crepe weekend (no doesn't mean I ate pancakes)
DS's Dad told me midweek he wanted to reduce seeing DS from fortnightly weekends to every hree weeks as he "can't cope with him" Ex OH is a bit of a drama queen at the best of times. I told him I couldn't stop him but bearing in mind DS has self esteem issues plus GCSE stress I didn't think it was the greatest of ideas but if he wanted to do it I couldn't stop him but it was down to HIM to explain it to DS.
Anyway bloody coward wrote me a long ranting email about various things the next day-Thursday-and slipped in a bit about starting the 3 week thing from NOW-ie cancelling this weekend. Of course life is too short to read rants so I skimmed it and missed that line so we discovered he had cancelled on Friday evening when I rang him to check which train he wanted packed and ready DS to be on (Oh and I'd already bought the rail ticket Grrrr)
I am furious at his cowardice as obviously I got to have to tell DS.
Oh well his loss as DS is highly unimpressed with him.
The up-side is I get more time with DS-and child support goes up as he crosses the threshold of nights stayed (he knows this). Sad thing is this is in part down to new girlfriend putting pressure on (really young only 22) I think so likely she'll dump him and he'll be left trying to pick up the pieces with DS (wish he'd be original and make some new mistakes instead of keep replicating his past ones)
Child support is due Tuesday-I know in this current mood of lack of co-operation it'll be late -not clever as CSA have picked up on the fact he isn't declaring correctly.
Anyway rant over-off to school now for DS's annual review and discussion with local council to find out if they will fund him staying on for A levels (mega money) Gawd knows what I'll do if they say no-remortgage probably as he can't cope with large school/college enviroment <sigh>
Debating if I stick on jeans so I look poor or something smarter to look like concerned parent making an effort.
Ho-hum ain't life fun
Thank you for the rant space PI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
you rant away swettie and grr grr grrrrr on your behalf. You know where I am anytime you want to talk hon, sounds like you could do with a good old rant,
I agree that is completely unfair to leave you to tell DS and such a shame that it was late notice for him esp with his condition, I guess he was really upset by it all.
I'd say something smarter but leave off the earrings necklace etc.
Big Big Hugs to you sweet. xxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0
