Thoughts on this house

So first time buying on my own so I'm unsure of absolutely everything. My top end budget is £120k and hoping to get a 3 bed house in the NE9 postcode. This one has come up and I love the interior but I'd have to compromise on the garden (which I really wanted) and the fact its mid-terrace (I worry about neighbour noise).
But I suspect its over-priced (looking at other sale prices in that area) so wonder if I could get it a bit cheaper. Thoughts?

Buy an end terrace with decent garden and then do up the interior to a similar spec. Decor is the easiest thing to change about a property. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

I can't help too much as there is no floor plan , it's nicely decorated but the compromises can only be answered by you.
For me the garden would be a no no but it's you who would have to live there.
I would agree with the above and look for something that does fill the important criteria and decoration is easy to change0 -
Compare it to these...
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-80724461.html - £10k less, end terrace, albeit only "yard"
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-59277744.html - £10k less, semi, garden
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-60044287.html - £10k less, semi, garden
...and tell us what's so great about the one you're set on.
£10k buys a lot of paint and laminate.0 -
For the 1st and 3rd links location is a massive issue. They're not great areas (although I know they are in NE9).
The 2nd one has a massive well in the back garden. I actually posted about this house a while ago if you can be bothered to search my previous posts you will see a picture of it!.
The problem with 'doing up' a house is I don't have the money for that so I need something that is reasonably ready to move into.
Believe me I have searched and searched and nothing is coming on. This house is ready to move into and in a nice area (well as nice as I can get for my money). The garden and mid-terrace are issues though.0 -
Could you convert the off street parking space back to being part of the garden?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Looking on google street view its unlikely. I'm going to go and see it on Saturday anyway although I suspect this house just has too many negatives.
This is why I value people's opinions on here as I don't want to get carried away about a house just because its nice inside!0 -
Looks like theres lots of potential !!! Decoration not to my taste currently but great house.0

Paint and carpet/laminate is cheap. A damn sight cheaper than an extra ten grand on the purchase price...The problem with 'doing up' a house is I don't have the money for that so I need something that is reasonably ready to move into.

Perhaps it's simply the usual case of budget not meeting preferences and expectations?0 -

I'm sure there is an element of budget not meeting preferences but I have seen quite a few 'sold' houses which meet more of my criteria and in my price range. Its just that sadly those ones are SOLD. I'm just not finding many of these types of houses coming on the market.0 -
