  • Had a letter from BWL yesterday, apparently there was a grammatical error in the letter and in the context of the rest of the letter it should be clear that it is an error..... hmmmm I don’t know, continuing to send mail after a cease and desist letter which was seen as an acceptance of terms, saying they do accept the invoice then backtracking once invoices went direct to KBT the backtracked.... maybe I will just ignore their mail and go straight into the court process, that seems to be their preferred method.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Sorry been so busy at work just couldn’t be arsed to pursue this, however I understand I have six years.....:j
  • Unbelievably have now received another ticket for my partner dredged up from 2016. Will await the letter before claim and direct then to the previous claim numbers defence.

Have also received another letter to my son which has prompted me to send another invoice off and a reminder that the first payment is overdue and will incur charges.

I can not believe the incompetence of this so called legal firm and why they are allowed to clog up the small claims courts by using them as a cheap method of debt collection.

It’s because the process is completely automated, with no linking of tickets/claims. Each one is likely to be treated as a separate entity. A ‘human’ only gets involved when court processes are well underway.

  • We have an ongoing ICO complaint against BW Legal and their methods of acquiring personal details without consent. Last Friday and Saturday I had two calls to my personal mobile phone asking to speak to my partner, after a credit check I found that BW Legal conducted a “soft” credit search on me at the end of November without my consent or knowledge and have used my details to try to contact my partner. BW Legal’s explanation is that they don’t need consent as they have a “legitimate interest” however the ICO disagree and have emailed today saying they will be approaching BW Legal for further information.

They really do think they can do anything to harass people for their spurious accusations. I hope the ICO enlighten them.

Oh dear, looks like they don’t like receiving continuous correspondence (like they send their “clients”) and unsubstantiated charges - oh the irony!! Couldn’t even be bothered to send a proper letter, just sent theirs back with my reply, in the same envelope it came in.
  • Just an update, it’s all gone quiet, no more post for son, two more letters of claims received for partner which were sent back with dispute letter and request for info and haven’t gone any further.
