No buying unnecessary toiletries May 2019

I'm the same with toothpaste, I can't risk problems with my teeth. I have come unstuck with floss, it is possible to buy a container for the floss which is glass with a metal lid but the natural floss is silk which is a no no for me so I would have to fill it with normal floss. Have you come across any other alternatives?
Wet n Wild is available at Boots and this might be what you want? https://smallshop.co.uk/shop/georganics-natural-floss-minty-charcoalally.0 -
asajj - that looks just the job, thanks so much for that. They are quite local (ish) to me so that is good too.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

A few INs today:
Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion 300ml
Noreva Sensidiane Soothing Micellar Lotion 500ml
SVR Sebiaclear SPF50+ Creme 50ml
Uriage Bariesun Mineral Stick SPF50+ Fragile Areas 8g
Very excited to try the Avene cleanser and the Uriage stick SPF. The Noreva and the SVR and both things I've purchased numerous times before0 -
I am going to buy the re-usable cotton or bamboo pads as really every packet costs a fair bit for demak remover pads. 3 packets would pay for 20 re usable rounds on ebay. sounds like a no brainer for me. I reuse all my clothes why not these.0

One UU tonight:
A. Florence Super Serum 2ml sample WMB but I'll see how I get on with the mini of this one I have. Very nice texture and moisturising as well. Too early to see results from the Vitamin C in it.0 -
UU 400ml E45 Lotion. I think I prefer the more nourishing version as it absorbs better. This one remains sticky on my skin for ages.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Tried on my lip sticks in different light and took photos.

[STRIKE]Mabelline, 140 roaring rose (bright pink)[/STRIKE] Not the right bright pink for
[STRIKE]MAC, creme sheen, ravishing+ (peach[/STRIKE]) Don’t think this ever suited me that well, persisted until 80% finished. Love the scent and the packaging.
[STRIKE]Dior, serum de rouge (lipstick+gloss) 760 (deep maroon)+*[/STRIKE] - the lipstick doesn’t seem to wind up any further but the serum seems to come out still. Makes it difficult to apply and leaves little bits on your lips. I liked the colour but it’s deep so I don’t wear often. Beautiful packaging.
[STRIKE]Barry M, bright pink/coral*[/STRIKE] - the sheerness made it uneven, colour didn’t suit me.
[STRIKE]No7, matte liquid lips, pink/nude*[/STRIKE] - don’t like matte
[STRIKE]Neal’s Yard, Bee Lovely[/STRIKE] repurposed as body balm
New total: 15
I’m still deciding on what red suits me best...?!
I’m still on the fence about a couple of brights too.
I think I’d like to use more glosses / shimmer/shine finish lipsticks moving forward..0 -
Just ordered some re-usable cotton pads from Etsy.
I have a couple of things listed on Ebay with watchers and bids - hopefully will have some OUTs this week.ally.0 -

[STRIKE]Revlon, super lustrous, peal, 430 soft silver rose+[/STRIKE] - I actually really like this, colour seems to suit me, it’s bright but softened by the shimmer and the formula is gorgeous. However, it’s half used and I don’t reach for it much, I think I get bored of my brights because I have them so long..
[STRIKE]Rimmel, lasting finish, 214 fire cracker+ (coral)[/STRIKE] - this is very bold and I feel like I can only wear it when on a tropical holiday which isnt very often sadly! It even smells like holiday.
Total: 13
I don’t have any brights left now (excluding reds) hmm..0
