I have a UU and some INs! :D

UU: Calcott Manor The Perfect Day Shower and Bath Gel (100ml) - not technically a UU but decanted into a pump and in use. If I don't write it down now, I will forget.

    INs:

Lush Jumping Juniper shampoo bar (plus tin)
Lush Big Solid Conditioner bar (plus tin)
    Steradent tablets
    Listerine mouthwash (1L)

The Loosh bars smell great but for the shampoo and conditioner bar plus a tin to store each one in was £19.90. That's not a small amount of money. I hope it's worth it.

The rest is just usual stuff I needed to buy. I've heard stories about 'no waste' tooth powder but I'm not sure that would work for me as I have some dental issues. It's worth considering, though...I might do some more research.

    Hello ladies!
Have any of you tried to be more eco-friendly in your beauty routines? What are your recommendations?

    Welcome back InaPickle.

We have a Zero Waste shop where I live so I take my empty shower gel bottles to re-fill them. I also switched to soap bars and buy toilet rolls from who gives a crap when I can ttps://uk.whogivesacrap.org/
I stopped using body scrubs and converted to a body brush a long time ago.

UU Primark Mandarin and Basil perfume. Probably one spray left but technically done. I like this. Won't repurchase for now as I have other perfumes (7 I think and this does not include the Pure Grace or body sprays I have). Want to make an effort to use a lot of these and try and save up for the Replica one I'm coverting.

The other items are fairly low and I think the Lacura serum may be finished next.

Of my Finish 7 by Spring items the Lemon Aid is now a thin ring around the pot and the Pure Grace is probably down to about a week or two's worth of sprays (using it in the bathroom).
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I use wet n wild mascara. Some of them are vegan and honestly the range is excellent. I choose this range as the products are excellent, their low price point is a bonus. I recalled a lot are vegan and maybe a range that you might not have considered. They might solve the mascara issue.

I use the megaprotein mascara. https://prettifyourself.com/2018/10/27/wet-n-wild-mega-protein-mascara-very-black-review/
I have bought three tubes of it so far and it truly is brilliant. It lasts all day, comes off with remover easily and does not flake off. I buy it over and above more expensive brands. hopefully this might help you as this is an excellent product that just happens to be vegan!

Where do you buy it from, I have never seen it on sale anywhere near me?

I'm the same with toothpaste, I can't risk problems with my teeth. I have come unstuck with floss, it is possible to buy a container for the floss which is glass with a metal lid but the natural floss is silk which is a no no for me so I would have to fill it with normal floss. Have you come across any other alternatives?

It used to be stocked in Dunnes in Ireland. I have gotten it in independent pharmacies. It is listed as available in selected boots and beautybay on line.

I had bought it in America and knew it was brilliant.

Nice to meet you InaPickle! I think I might have joined after you took a break. I am quite similar to you in lots of ways, don't often wear make up, am vegan as much as poss and aim to use vegan stuff most of the time as well as reduce packaging. I have replaced shower gels and liquid handsoap with hard soaps on the whole because they last longer and have recyclable packaging/none at all.

This month I aim to try co-washing because I have naturally curly hair. I sold my hair straighteners and have not straightened my hair for a week now... it is taking some getting used to. I still blow dry it at the moment but we will see. I think switching to co-washing (only using conditioner) will save me a lot of money as well as being better for my hair but means I will make incredibly slow progress with using products up going forward. I plan to use shampoo or a roots treatment once a week though.

Where did you purchase your metal razor? I currently have a Dorco one but it still uses replacement blades that have plastic on so may switch up when it eventually becomes unuseable.

oh also, I use cloth pads and cloth cotton rounds both bought via etsy and recommend both, just read the reviews. The cloth cotton rounds wash great in the washing machine. I use loo roll to remove nail polish which is probably heathen behaviour haha.

    One IN today:

    EOS Cucumber Hand Lotion 44ml

My hands were so dry after I finished work, and I leave my hand cream at work in my locker so I was browsing the Pound shop and found this. Quite impressed to find a hand cream in the Pound shop that doesn't have Mineral Oil in it. It's a decent hand cream, and I'm going to keep it in my work bag.
